Цели:
Расширение кругозора, развитие познавательной активности и творческих способностей учащихся, формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка и умений использовать имеющиеся знания в новой коммуникативной ситуации.
Оборудование:плакаты, рисунки, используется музыка П. И. Чайковского «Времена года».
ХОДПРАЗДНИКА
Compare 1: There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Today we are going to speak about winter. (ЗвучитмузыкаП.И.Чайковского «Временагода – зима».)

December:Hello! I am the first winter month, but I am the last month of the year, the Christmas month. Do you like Christmas?
Children:Yes, we do.
December:I like it too. I like to decorate Christmas tree and give presents to my nearest and dearest. Christmas is a family holiday. People in Great Britain celebrate it on the 25thof December. They send cards or Christmas greetings to their families and friends. They wish "A Marry Christmas" and "A Happy New Year". Little children hang up their stockings on Christmas Eve. If the children have been good, Santa fills their stockings with candy, fruit and toys. He puts some toys under the tree.
I have some tasks for you. Let’s decorate our Christmas tree with colour lights. (Учащиеся поют песенку COLOURS).

February:You are welcome. I am February, the shortest month of the year. I think you like me very much because on 14thof February you can celebrate one of the nicest holidays. It’s Valentine’s Day. The symbols of this holiday are Valentine cards, sweets, chocolate, hearts and flowers.
Children, do some Valentine chains correctly. You can see fairy-tales heroes, match the pairs. (Учащиеся подбирают пары сказочных героев).
