Task1. Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and want to read this text to your friend. You have 1,5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out loudly. You will not have more than 1,5 minutes to read it.
Madagascar is a very large island off the southeast coast of Africa. It offers a variety of spectacular scenery from mountains, volcanoes and rainforests to arid deserts and golden sandy beaches. Its early separation from African continent resulted in its flora and fauna going down a distinct evolutionary path, so it now has species that exist nowhere else on Earth. The island boasts about 5,000 km of coastline and the world’s fourth largest coral reef just off the southwest coast, which is abundant in marine life. The unique biodiversity of the island has led to it being referred to as ‘the land that time forgot’.
The Masoala region in the north of the country is Madagascar’s largest protected area and a must – see for nature lovers and even researchers. It is home to a diverse array of creatures. Lemures are unique to Madagascar. Around 100 species exist there, including the red- ruffed lemur, an impressive subspecies found only in the Masoala region. The golden dust geco and a variety of chameleons are also not to be missed.

You are considering to spend your eco - friendly holidays in Madagascar and you’d like to get more information from a tourist agency. In 1,5 minutes you are to ask 4 direct questions to find out the following;

if accommodation and meals included
route offered
activities included
You have 20 seconds to ask each question.
Task 3. You’re going to give an interview. You have to answer 5 questions. Give full answers to the questions (2-3 sentences). Remember that you have 40 seconds to answer each question.

Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Summer Activities in Madagascar”. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to tell the friend about the photos:
explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
mention the advantages (1–2) of the two kinds of activities;
mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two kinds of activities;
express your opinion on the subject of the project – which kind of you activity you prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
