Своя игра - Знаешь ли ты США и Великобританию
Цель: Расширение кругозора, развитие воображения и внимания.
Задачи:
- Развивать сообразительность, интуицию, любознательность.
- Укреплять память.
- Стимулировать интерес учащихся к изучению иностранного языка.
Оборудование: тематические картинки, вопросы для игры.
Ход мероприятия.
Организационный момент.
ВЕДУЩИЙ: Hello, my dear boys and girls! Glad to see you today. Do you like to play games? Today we will have a chance to take part in our game. We will have 3 stages. Each stage will have 4 topics. Each topic includes 5 questions. Each question has its price. You will try to get as many points as you can.
Учитель приветствует учащихся и сообщает им о проведении мероприятия «Своя игра». Данная игра проводится по правилам, аналогичным телевизионному варианту. В игре принимают участие 5-6 человек. Участники отвечают на предложенные вопросы и в случае правильного ответа получают очки, которыми оценивается данный вопрос.
Игра состоит из 3-х туров и финала. В каждом туре участникам предлагаются вопросы по 4 темам. Каждая тема содержит по 5 вопросов. Во всех турах принимают участие все участники и набирают очки, отвечая на вопросы. В финал выходят все участники, кроме тех, чей счёт в «-». Из предложенных тем на финал участники выбрасывают те темы, которые им не нравятся. В результате остаётся одна тема, на вопрос которой должны ответить участники. Каждый участник делает ставку на этот вопрос, но она не должна превышать количество очков, набранных участником. Участники пишут ставку и ответ на вопрос на листе бумаги. Тот, кто правильно ответил и набрал наибольшее количество очков, является победителем.
Примечание.
- В игре встречается вопрос на аукцион (an auction question). Это значит, что участник при ответе на вопрос может делать ставку (make a stake) на любую сумму, но не больше его суммы баллов. Если у участника сумма баллов в минусе, то ставка только по номиналу.
- Вопрос под рубрикой «a cat in a sack» (кот в мешке) означает отдать отвечать на вопрос другому участнику по своему выбору. Если другой участник отвечает на вопрос правильно, то ему прибавляются баллы.
- Во банк (I take my everything) можно делать в вопросе-аукционе, если нет минуса в количестве баллов.
- На каждую игру отводится определённое количество времени (10-15 минут).

- 600 points. In which month is Thanksgiving Day? (in November)

Между играми можно сделать перерыв и организовать игру со зрителями на 5-10 минут. За правильные ответы зрители получают жетоны. Победителем выходит тот, кто правильно ответил на большее количество вопросов.
