Тема: Жизнь и творчество Оскара Уайльда.

Цель: Знакомство с жизнью и творчеством О.Уайльда.

Задачи:
-развивать интеллектуальные и познавательные способности, память, логическое мышление, языковую догадку, внимание, общий кругозор и словарный запас.
-развивать умение вести беседу по проблеме урока на основе прослушанных выступлений.

-воспитывать устойчивый интерес к стране изучаемого языка, к её литературе, культуре, воспитание культуры общения и поведения;

-стимулировать к самостоятельной работе; развивать умение работать в коллективе.

Методы –наглядно-иллюстративный, коллективное осмысление.

Технология – личностно-ориентированный подход

Оборудование : раздаточный материал с текстами стихотворений на английском и русском языках, презентация в MicrosoftPowerPoint.

Today we are gong to speak about Oscar Wilde and his wonderful poems. Wilde wrote many short stories, plays and poems that continue to inspire millions around the world.

T. Though Oscar Wilde is known today primary as a playwright and as the author of The Picture of Dorian Gray (1891) – his only novel as the author wrote poetry, fairy tales, essays and criticism, all of which express his aesthetic approach to life and art. Indeed, he was the most popular spokesman in the late XIX th century advocating the doctrine of aestheticism, which insisted that art should be primarily concerned with “art for art‘s sake,” not with politics, religion, science, bourgeois morаlity.

P.1 Oscar Wilde (Fingal O’Flahertie Wills) was born in Dublin on October 16, 1854 to parents who were prominent in Ireland’s social life. His father (William Ralph Willa) was a leading ear and eye surgeon who had founded a hospital a year before Wild’s birth and who had received the appointment of Surgeon Oculist in Ordinary to the Queen, and honorary position especially created for him in recognition of his international reputation. Wilde’s mother (Francesca Elgee Wilde), nine years younger than her husband was known in the 1840s to give hope to Irish nationalists and activists in the woman’s rights movement.

P.2 Wild received an education appropriate to his station in life. When he was ten, he was sent to Portora Royal School (founded by King Charles II) in Ennniskillen, Ulster. In October 1971, he entered Trinity College in Dublin, where he distinguished himself by winning various prizes and medals, particularly for his learning in the classics. In June 1874, he won a scholarship, the classical Demyship, to Magdalen College, Oxford, Wilde developed the manner of poseur and was widely recognized by his fellow students as a brilliant talker.

P.3On May 29, 1884 he married Constance Lloyd. She came from a respectable legal family in Ireland. They had two children – Cyril and Vyvyan. Probably, his happy family life inspired him to write stories for children, The Happy Prince and Other Tales was published in 1888, A House of Pomegranates – in 1891 – 1892.

P.4 In October 1800, following his trip to Rome, Wild was ill with an ear infection that developed into encephalitis. On October 10, he underwent an operation. Thus, he died on 10 November at the age of forty – six. His tomb, sculpted by Sir Jacob Epstein, is in Pere- Lanchaise Cemetry, Paris.

3. T. Oscar Wilde wrote poems about nature. These poems are wonderful. The style is perfect. They are popular and loved by people. They were translated into different languages.
