Конспект урока по теме «Экология» для 7 класса

Данный урок предназначен для закрепления материала по теме «Экология » в 7 классе. Цель урока- повторить и обобщить выученный материал по данной теме, организовать работу в группах, повторить грамматический материал, развить произносительные навыки, умение сравнивать и обобщать, воспитать у учеников бережное отношение к природе.

Тема: Экология

Цель: повторить и обобщить выученный лексический материал по данной теме, провести на уроке тренировку навыков аудирования, организовать работу в группах, повторить грамматический материал.

Развивающая цель: развить фонематический слух, произносительные навыки, умение сравнивать и обобщать.

Воспитательная цель : воспитать у уч-ся бережное отношение к природе.

Оборудование: тематические картинки, раздаточный материал, текст для аудирования, музыкальное сопровождение.

Ход урока

Организационный момент

Приветствиеучителя: Good morning , boys and girls. Today we sum up the material to the topic Ecology. First of all, our lesson will be unusual. You will work in groups and every group will find out how to improve the environment. To solve this problem you will make texts, revise vocabulary, listen to the text about tropical rainforests and use English to fill up the gaps. Which group will work better , will be the winner. You ′ll get counters . More counters -better result.

Let′s start with irregular verbs. Work altogether, someone names 1st form, others-2nd and 3rd. F.e make-made ,made. (the children name verbs)

The Earth is our home. We are going to talk about environment. How do you think what pollutes the air we breath? – Cars burn petrol, factories and power stations burn coal and emit toxic fumes. This pollution is gathered in clouds and becomes acid in the atmosphere. What is the the result of the pollution?- The water pollution kills fish and plants. Acid rain poisons soil, trees and plants and damages the environment. Tell me, please, what can government and individuals do to reduce the pollution? – Some industries use new technologies to make factory smoke less harmful. We can use our cars less ,use solar power to heat our homes.

2.That′s right. Look at the blackboard. You see some ecological problems and their solutions. The representative of each group comes up the blackboard and matches the problem with its solution, read and translate.

PROBLEMS : 1 :to pollute the air with fumes of cars
2 to use dangerous chemicals at home and in the gardens

3 to make fires in the parks and in the woods

4 to cut down the trees

SOLUTIONS: a to use bikes or public transport rather than cars

b to use less chemicals in the gardens and at home

c to clean away the territory

d to plant more trees and flowers

3 .Listening Comprehension. Now you listen to the text “Tropical rainforests”. I read only once and you in groups find out if the sentences true or false.

2. The forests are the natural habitat for many rare animals, birds and insects.

3. Some plants are important for mechanic.

4.. Big companies are burning and cutting forests to help the nature.

Well done! I see that all of you understand this text. Now your task is more complicated. Each group receives a text with the gaps and different answers, you have to choose right answer to complete the sentences. To do this task you have to mobilize your knowledge in grammar and vocabulary. You also have to read and to translate the text. It is desirable that every member of the group reads the sentence. Which group manages better it gets more counters. Write down only necessary letters. You can use dictionaries if you need.

A TERROR BIRD

About 60 million years ago, (1)…. birds lived in South America. They couldn't fly,but they could (2)…. faster than a horse .Scientists call them 'terror birds' because they (3)….very fierce (свирепый) hunters. They caught and killed animals with (4)…. beaks. B SUPERCROC

Crocodiles are the largest (1)…. in the world today – and perhaps the scariest too. Some are 5 metres (2)….. and weigh about 1,000 kg. But between 100 million and 90 million years ago ,a different (3)…..of crocodile existed-and it was much bigger! It was 12 metres long and weighed about 8,000 kg. That's longer and heavier than a bus! Scientists call it 'supercroc' when they found the fossils in the Sahara Desert in Africa. C MEGALODON


Perhaps the scariest of all the ancient (1)….was the megadon .It looked like a shark ,but it was bigger .The largest shark today is the (2)….,and it's about 12 metres long . Scientiests believe the megalodon was 20 metres long. Its mouth was (3)….enough to eat a rhino ,but the megalodon hanted other large sea creatures ,like (4)…..They first appeared 25 million years ,they were the fiercest hunters in the (5)…. .Luckilly for swimmers and surfers ,the megalodon died out two million years ago.

Environment is everything around us. Animals are an integral part of it. Look at the blackboard. You see different animals and their habitat. Match the words to the pictures.( Animals: camel ,parrot, black bear , penguin, alligator. Pictures: desert, polar region, wetlands, rainforest, woods, savannahs ).

Tell me , please, are you OK? I give you some flowers, take pencils and color them , show what is your mood today. Thank you. Now raise your flowers if you learn something new at the lesson. And now crush your flower and throw them away. Are they left as before? Of course not! And so the nature! If we “ throw it away” all alive won′t exist any more. Listen to the song that shows us the nature beauty.(listening of song)
