Представление сказки: The fairy tale “The happy prince” was written by an Irish writer Oscar Wilde. This is a story about the statue of a happy prince. Hetries to help everyone and make people happy.

Scene 1

Девочка: Look, what a beautiful statue. Do you know who he is?

Ангел 1: This is the statue of a prince. We don`t know if he was real or if he`s only a legend. The prince has got a sister and a brother.

Мальчик: Tell us what you know.

Ангел 2: The prince lived in a castle. His father, the king, was a very generous and kind man. That`s why everybody loved him, and the prince too. They were very happy.

Ангел 3:There hadn`t been another king just like him. They say, that one day the king got sick and suddenly he died.The prince, who was so sad, died after his father`s death.

Девочка: Oh, this is a very sad story. Do you know who made the statue?

Ангел 1: People collected all the gold and precious stones given them by the king.

Ангел 2: They made the statue of the Prince. They were so grateful to him.

Ангел 3: They named the statue “The Happy Prince”.

Мальчик: Well, he doesn`t look like a Prince. He looks like an angel. I think he was as kind as his father was.

Scene 2

(На площадь к статуе Счастливого Принца выходит мэр города. К нему подходят горожане.)

Житель города 1: Oh! Major! We are so glad to see you! We are waiting only for you.

Жительгорода 2: We can’t start the concert without you. (смотритнастатуюпринца) He is so wise, so beautiful, so happy!

Мэр: Nice, very nice! What a beautiful statue this Happy Prince is! As a major, I must say, that it’s a masterpiece of art and of our town, of course. Sapphires, gold… It makes people happy.

Житель города 1: Yes, yes we are happy! We are happy to see you, to hear you.

Мэр: It’s so beautiful but he’s not useful!

Житель города 2: It’sa pity! Not useful!

Scene 3

Птица 1: Oh, this trip to Egypt is too long and I`m very tired.

Птица 2: We`ll rest here for a while and continue our journey tomorrow.

Ёж: I’m so tired. I need some rest.

Тигр: This is really a beautiful garden.

Птица 1: Oh! What a beautiful statue!

Птица 2: (Смотрит на статую. Статуя плачет.) Why are you crying? Who are you?

Счастливый принц: I am Happy Prince.

Заяц: It`s very strange. You are the Happy Prince, but…you are crying.

Сестра: He never worried about something. That`s why people called him the Happy Prince.

Брат: His father was a great man. And now he wants to do the same thing, but he can`t.

Счастливый принц: And now I can see that there`s suffering and misery in my kingdom. That`s why I am crying. I`m only a statue. I have got gold and precious stones. I want to help people.

Птица 1 : Is there anything we can do for you?

Сестра:Yes. There`s a poor house at the end of the street. One of the windows is opened. We can see a woman through the window. She`s sewing a dress.

Брат: A lovely lady will wear it at the palace ball. Her son is hungry and sick. She can only give him water. Please, take her rubies.

Птица 2: We`ll do what you want, even if our friends are waiting for us in the Nile.

Scene 4

(За столом сидит женщина с шитьём, рядом с ней, лежит её сын.)

Мама: What should I do? What should I do? My child is ill, he’s got a fever.

I have to make a dress for a lady. A little money. But I can’t, I can’t! My hands are pricked by the needle. I am so tired!

Сын: Mummy, mummy! I want oranges, oranges!

Мама: I am a bad mother! I have no money to buy oranges for my child.

Have a sleep, my baby.

(Мать и сын засыпают. Появляются птицы. Положив на стол рубины, они улетают. Женщина просыпается и замечает рубин.)

Мама: Thanks God! Thanks God!

Scene 5

Птица 1: We did as you told us.

Птица 2: The woman was surprised when we left the ruby.

Заяц: He took it in her hands, she cried and hugged her son. We felt so satisfied!

Брат: That is because you have done a good deed.

Тигр: Do you want us to do something else for you?

Счастливыйпринц: Yes. Please, take rubies to a writer that lives in that house.

Сестра:He is trying to finish a play for the Director of the theatre. But he is too cold and hungry to write any more.

Ёж: What will he do with rubies?

Сестра: He will sell it to a jeweler and buy food and firewood, and finish his play.

Птица 2: We can`t do that. We should be in Egyptnow, admiring the pyramids,

and watching the lions drinking water from the Nile.

Брат: Please, stay with us for some time and be our messenger.

Птица 1: All right. We`ll help you.

Счастливый принц: Thank you, our friends.

Scene 6

В комнате за столом сидит писатель.

Писатель: Oh! What should I do? I won’t finish my poem tomorrow and get any money. It’s too cold to write. Hunger makes me faint. Why must everything depend on money?

(Читает стих.)

My fate was written in the stars,

I’m sure that God was kind to me,

He gave me life, he gave me heart,

He gave me eyes to watch and see.

He gave me mind to meditate,

I love the sense of inspiration,

When I am alone or feeling sad,

I know that I have destination.

Писатель:May be I am a bad poet.(Замечает рубины на столе.)Rubies! Thanks God! Thanks God!

Scene 7

Птица 2: You don`t know how happy we felt when we came to his house.

Ёж: The man looked so desperate.

Заяц: When he saw rubies, he rapidly stood up.

Тигр: He took it in hands and left the house in a hurry.

Брат: Thank you. You are very kind.

Счастливыйпринц: Now I need you to take rubies.

Птица 1: But Prince, we can`t take rubies.

Счастливый принц: It doesn`tmatter. Do it, please.

Заяц: What should we do?

Сестра: You will find a little boy who sells matches in the square. He`s not wearing shoes and a coat. His matches fell in the mud and now he can`t sell them. Брат: He can`t bring home money. That`s why his father will be angry at him.

Счастливыйпринц: I don`t need rubies, he needs them more.

Scene 8

Мальчик:I can`t sell the matches. They are in the mud. I can`t bring home money. My father will be angry with me.

Заяц:Don`t worry. Take these rubies and sell them to the jeweler.

Мальчик: Thank you. You helped me.

Scene 9

Ёж: Oh, prince, we did as you told us.

Тигр: Poor little boy, we found him crying.

Заяц: I stood in front of him. When he saw rubies, he took it. We left the square. He looked at us for a long time.

Брат: Thank you. You are so helpful.

Птица 1: Prince, we can`t leave you.

Птица 2: We`ll stay with you forever.

Счастливый принц: There`s one more thing you should do for me. Take gold and give people. Please, understand me.

Сестра:People built the statue with all the gold and precious stones given by our father.

Счастливый принц: I want to give everything back.

Scene 10

Птица 2: We couldn`t be in Egypt and admire the pyramids.

Птица 1: But we are very glad to help you.

Заяц: We did as you told us,

Ёж: Now we will sleep for a while.

Тигр: We`re very tired.

Счастливый принц: Have a rest, our friends. You deserve it.

Мэр входит и смотрит на статую.

Мэр: The rubies, the gold that covered the statue are not here. The statue is worthless. Nevertheless, everyone was happy.
