1) – Good morning, children. I’m very glad to see you.

2) – What is the date today? Today is the 14^th of October. It’s nearly the middle of autumn. Do you like autumn?

- Look out through the window. What is the weather like today?

- Do you like sunny/rainy… weather?

- What can you do when the weather is rainy?

3) – What can people living in the city do in such weather?

- What about people living in country?

. 1) Some people think that it’s better to live in the country. Some others prefer living in the city. Let’s read the poem “He loves the Ocean”. (Open your books at p. 51 Ex. 8). Read it and say where she and he would like to live: in the city or in the country.

Read the poem aloud.

Now answer the question: “Where does he/she prefer to live?”

I think people living in the country and people living in the city depend on weather. And weather forecast is very important for them. Do you agree?

Work in pairs.

- What problems can people have because of a wrong weather forecast? Work in pairs and try to answer my question.

3)There are many proverbs about weather, which reflect our life. Work in pairs and compare some English proverbs and sayings with weather words and their Russian equivalents:

4) To everything there is a season. And different people like different seasons. What do you like most? Open the brackets, use degrees of comparison and make up correct sentences:

that weather can spoil the holiday. I’m sure people can find interesting activities in different weather. They can have a good holiday in any weather. Let’s prove it.

b) –Imagine that you are people with different tastes. There will be 3 teams (порядам)
