EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES AND THEIR PLACE IN THE SPHERE OF EDUCATION: RESEARCH WORK ON COMPUTER SCIENCE

Каждый день в Интернете появляется большое количество самых разнообразных веб-ресурсов, предоставляющих доступ к практически неограниченному количеству информации. И отдельное место занимают обучающие веб-сайты, создаваемые, как правило, для школьников и студентов.

Основная проблематика выбранной темы заключается в ограниченном применении обучающих веб-приложений как инструмента в сфере образования. Таким образом, данный вопрос - один из самых актуальных в настоящий момент.

Цель: на примере собственного проекта рассмотреть функции обучающего веб-сайта и определить масштабы его применения в сфере образования.

Задачи:

  1. Рассмотрение инструментов для создания веб-сайтов.
  2. Создание собственного проекта по данной тематике.
  3. Формирование вариантов применения обучающего веб-сайта в образовательной сфере.

Для раскрытия темы с практической точки зрения мной был создан обучающий веб-сайт "Computer Science" (Приложение 1). Основная тематика и область его применения - школьный курс информатики. Средствами разработки сайта послужили HTML CSS, JavaScript и jQuery.

Дизайн авторского веб-сайта ориентирован на целевую аудиторию (учащихся общеобразовательных учреждений), основан на относительно ярких цветах и применении технологий Canvas (Canvas - элемент HTML5, предназначенный для создания растрового двухмерного изображения при помощи скриптов, обычно на языке JavaScript) для создания фонового градиента. В свою очередь переход на другие страницы сайта осуществляется через так называемые "кликабельные" изображения, анимированные с помощью CSS.

Сайт представляет следующие разделы:

"Алгебра логики"

Данный раздел, как понятно из названия, посвящён теме, на которой базируются логические основы построения компьютера, и включает в себя теоретические сведения, примеры базовых заданий с ответами.

"Microsoft Office"

В настоящее время раздел представлен частично (находится в разработке). Планируется добавление справочника по основным функциям программ пакета Microsoft Office: Word, Excel и PowerPoint; практические работы для курса 10 класса.

"Это интересно"

  • Раздел содержит интересные факты, связанные с развитием вычислительной техники и программного обеспечения XX-XXI веке. Раздел способствует расширению кругозора и ответит на вопросы:
  • Откуда появилось название компании Apple
  • В чём особенность логотипа для Windows 10 и др.

"Алгоритмизация и программирование"

Раздел содержит необходимый объём информации для изучения на базовом уровне языка программирования Pascal, а именно: основные типы переменных, синтаксис, запись основных алгоритмических конструкций и примеры их использования, базовые задачи и основные задачи на обработку массивов (поиск в массиве, нахождение наибольшего и наименьшего значения, нахождение наибольшего и наименьшего значения из элементов, удовлетворяющих определённому условию, сортировка массива и др.).

"Вёрстка сайтов"

Включает в себя необходимые базовые сведения (теория и примеры HTML и CSS) для изучения основ сайтостроения. Все примеры раздела были выполнены вручную, а основы разработки представлены в современной интерпретации.

"Готовимся к ЕГЭ"

В старших классах практически первостепенное значение имеет подготовка к ЕГЭ. Поэтому на сайт добавлена теория к каждому из заданий ЕГЭ по информатике, примеры заданий и ответы к ним.

Главный плюс проекта – понятное содержание (теория проработана автором, а не скопирована со сторонних источников), а также в некотором смысле лёгкий и даже юмористический подход ко многим вопросам. Основная функция – помочь в обучении по курсу информатики 10-11 класса, которое осуществляется с помощью доступного языка представления информации и заданий по различным темам.

Сделав промежуточные выводы, стоит сказать, что возможности разработчика практически безграничны, следовательно, и масштабы их применения должны быть соответствующими.

Современный этап развития сферы образования характеризуется массовым внедрением информационных технологий в деятельность всех участников образовательного процесса. Информатизация является одним из основных факторов, заставляющих образование совершенствоваться.

Сфера общего образования - это база, формирующая знания, расширяющая кругозор и определяющая дальнейшую область профессиональной деятельности, что в любом случае необходимо человеку в его настоящем и будущем, и поэтому изучение школьной программы должно быть как можно более глубоким, но при этом простым и красочным.

Альтернативы реальным опытам по физике или химии нет, но при этом в качестве наглядного примера возможна реализация этих экспериментов в цифровой реальности, в частности, на тех же обучающих веб-сайтах.

В настоящее время достаточно малое количество учеников использует в процессе образования обучающие веб-сайты, а некоторые не используют вовсе. К сожалению, это касается и учителей.

Веб-разработка - одно из самых интересных и актуальных направлений в IT, и его применение в сфере образования должно быть вполне закономерно. Но несмотря на это, реализация и использование прогрессируют далеко не с такой скоростью, как развитие информационных технологий.

Но тем не менее, стоит сказать, что современные инструменты разработки веб-сайтов способствуют становлению обучающих веб-сайтов гармоничным дополнением цифровых презентаций и школьных учебников.

Таким образом, обучающие веб-сайты занимают всё более важное и нужное место в нашей жизни, но если они и не могут (и не должны) в полной мере заменить школьное образование, то их применение способно расширить познания учеников по определённому предмету школьной программы в сфере образования и существенно упростить процесс обучения.

Every day plenty of various web resources providing access to almost unlimited amount of information appear on the Internet. There is no doubt that educational websites created generally for school students are given much prominence.

As Information Technology is one of the most important aspects of our life, we have chosen it as the theme to study. The subject of the research is a limited use of training application as an education tool. The object of the research is school course of IT. The goal of this work is to examine the functions of an educational site and determine the extent of its application in the field of education. To achieve this aim we have the following tasks:

  1. To review the tools for creating websites.
  2. To create our own project on this subject.
  3. To define a place of training websites in the educational sphere.

This work will be of practical value for students who are interested in Information Technology and English language. In addition, it can be used at IT and English lessons in the study of the topics "Technologies" and "Inventions".

I have created the educational website "Computer Science" to explore the topic from a practical point of view (Appendix 1). The main theme and field of application is a course of IT for a senior high school. This website is designed with such tools as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.

As the target audience is school students, the design is based on a relatively bright colours and the application of Canvas element technologies (the Canvas element is a part of HTML5 and allows for dynamic, scriptable rendering of 2D shapes and bitmap images) to create background gradient. As for the transition from page to page, it is implemented via clickable images that animated using CSS.

The website contains the following sections:

"Algebra of logic"

This section, as the name says, dedicates to a rather broad topic of "Algebra of logic" and includes theory, examples of tasks and the tasks themselves with the answers.

"Microsoft Office"

This section is partly presented as it is under development now. However, I intend to add the Handbook with the basic functions of the Microsoft Office package such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and practical tasks from the course of 10th grade.

"This is interesting"

  • This section contains interesting facts related to the development of computer technology and software of the XX-XXI century. It gives the answers to some questions:
  • How did the name of the Apple company appear?
  • What is the feature of the Windows 10 logo?

Section includes a set of some interesting facts that helps entertain users and broaden their outlook.

"Algorithmization and programming"

This section includes the necessary amount of information to study for a school level of programming language Pascal, for instance, variable types, syntax, some of the base challenges and the main tasks for the array's processing (i.e., finding the maximum and minimum values, finding maximum and minimum values of the elements satisfy the condition, sorting, etc.).

"Web developing"

This section includes the necessary base of information (theory and examples of HTML and CSS) for further study of web development. All the examples were performed manually, and the base of web developing is presented from a modern point of view with the new standards.

"Prepare for the exams"

In a senior high school studying for the final exams is one the most important things. Therefore, the theory to each of the tasks that used in IT, the tasks and the answers to them are added to this section.

The main advantage of the project is the understandable language of the theory that is well researched by the author but not copied from third party sources. There is also an easy-to-understand and even humorous approach to many issues. Primary function is to teach students the course of IT in the 10th -11th grades, which is carried out using available language of presenting information and different tasks on many topics.

Thus, we can make a conclusion that designer's possibilities are almost unlimited, therefore, their scope should be appropriate.

The current events in the sphere of education are characterized with the massive introduction of information technologies in the activities of all educational process participants. Informational support is one of the main factors of improving modern education.

General education is a base for knowledge creation, broadening horizon and defining a further occupation. Undoubtedly, it is necessary for a student in his present and future. Therefore, studying of the school curricula should be both deep and colorful.

We have no alternative to physics or chemistry real experiments. However, there is a possibility to implement these experiments in the digital realm, in particular, on educational websites.

For a more detailed examination, we have conducted a poll among the pupils of the 10th -11th forms and teachers to define if they use educational websites and for what reason. The survey has revealed that currently quite a small number of students use training websites in process of education, and some students do not use them at all. Unfortunately, teachers have the same characteristic.

Web designing is one of the most interesting and important directions in IT, and application of it in the sphere of education should be quite natural. Despite this, the implementation and use do not advance so fast, as the development of information technology.

Nevertheless, it should be said that modern development tools of websites contribute to the harmonization of educational web resources with digital presentations and schoolbooks. We hope that such websites will be actively implemented in the educational process.

All in all, educational websites have become an important and necessary part of our life. Although, they cannot (and should not) entirely replace school education, practical application of them will be able to broaden the student's knowledge of a particular subject from the school curriculum and simplify the learning process.
