Тема : Moderngadgets

Тип урока: обобщающий; (с использованием сингапурских структур)

Цели урока:

Общеобразовательный аспект — закрепление лексических единиц и употребление их в речи; развитие навыков исследования; формирование  аудитивных навыков и умений; умение использовать речевые клише

развивающий аспект – развитие способности к обобщению, логичности и доказательности; развитие критическогомышления, познавательных интересов.

воспитательный аспект — развитие умений работать в малых и больших группах , воспитание информационной культуры учащихся, внимательности, аккуратности, дисциплинированности, усидчивости.

Задачи урока:

1)                 Повторение лексических единиц.

2)                 Преодоление коммуникативного и эмоционального барьера при говорении на английском языке.

3)                 Овладение моделями высказывания на ИЯ

4)                 Развитие языковой догадки.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, проектор, картинки электронных устройств, карточки для учащихся, доска, программное обеспечение MS Power Point, 

Ходурока:

1) Beginning of the lesson.

Teacher: Good morning girls and boys! Glad to see you at our lesson. Participant A greet and smile to you shoulder partner, participant B shake hands with your face partners.

2) Warming up.

Teacher: now, pupils look at the screen, analyze and then answer the question what do you think we are going to speak about today? (слайды 1-10)

(учащиеся называют названия гаджетов, а потом отвечают на вопрос, какая тема урока).

P1: I think that we are going to speak about new technologies

P2:I think that we are going to speak about gadgets.

Teacher: Yes you are right, we are going to speak about gadgets. Our theme is….(слайд 11)

Teacher: Now pupils, you have pictures on your table, I`ll say you sentences, think what am I talking about and show me the pictures with these gadgets? (Приложение 1)

Teacher: a) You may take and show photos to your friends ( pupils show the picture of Digital camera)

b) You may film some parties and interesting moments in your life (Camcorder)

c) You may store music files and listen to music (MP3 music player)

d) You may make and receive some calls (Mobile phone)

e) You may read electronic books (E-book device)

f) It is an electronic device used for playing computer games on a television screen (Games console)

g) You may watch  the news, a DVD (A TV)

h) It is a camera based to be used on a computer for communication (Web- camera)

i) It is a personal computer for mobile use (Laptop)

Teacher: Now, pupils answer the question which of the gadgets do you use? What for? Think over, do it in the structure Single-round -robin. Participant 1 will be the first. You have one minute to do the task. (слайд 12)

P1: I use mobile phone to talk to friends and family.

P2: I use MP3 player to listen to music and store music files.

Teacher: Roma, which of the gadgets does Tanya use?

Roma: Tanya uses….( her laptop to surf the Net).

Teacher: Rifat, which of the gadgets does Kostya use?

Rifat: Kostya uses……

Teacher: Now, we`ll do Jot thoughts. (слайд 13) Take everything from the middle of the table. You have 16 small papers on your table, each of you must take only 4 of them and write on this paper any association which you have, when you hear the word –Gadget. You can write verbs, nouns, adjectives. First speak, then write, then put it in the middle of the table. Pronounce your word loudly, in order other participants hear your word and don`t repeat it. Begin, please.

(Pupils write laptop, modern, universal, listen to music….)

Teacher: Have you finished? Now, sort these cards into groups, and give the headings to all these groups. You`ll have 2 minutes to do this task. (слайд 14)

Teacher: Are you ready? Stand up, push your chairs, table 1 goes to table 2, and table 2 goes to table 3, table 3 goes to table 1. Look through their ideas, if you don`t know some words, you can write them down and later use them, try to find interesting categories.

Teacher: Now, change, please. Ok, Kate, what interesting categories have you found?

Kate: I`ve found…..

Teacher: Albert, what unknown words have you mentioned? Albert:…..

4) Relaxation. Formation. (слайд 15)

Each group has its own gadget, you have to show this gadget, without words, you can use gestures and mimic. Other groups should understand which gadget have you shown. (the first group shows printer, the second shows computer mouse, the third shows tablet.)

3)Listening.

Teacher:  Look at the screen, (слайд 15)

what type of gadget do you think is this? What is it used for?

P1: I think that it`s a Tamagotchi.

P2: it`s a simple computer designed to simulate a pet. The computer is usually housed in a small, egg-shaped plastic container, and the image of the "pet" is displayed on a simple black and white screen. Three or four buttons allow the user to perform different tasks, such as feed the pet, play games with it, or wash it. When the pet is unsatisfied, it beeps.

Teacher:  Open your text-books at page 48, exercise 2. Read the first exchange in the dialogue.

Tanya you read as Bridget and Arthur you read as Chris. Ok, answer to my question what is Bridget going to buy?

P1: She is going to buy a Tamagotchi

P2:She is going to buy a virtual pet.

Teacher:  let`s listen and check. (приложение 2) Now, you have the task to finish the sentences. There are four sentences on the screen. (слайд 16) ( pupils finish the sentences)

4)Speaking

I suggest you to do the next work. Some of you have the real pets, and now we have spoken about virtual pets. We have three corners, the name of the first is virtual pets, the second is real pets, and the third is without pets. If you have arguments for virtual pets, you choose the first corner, if you have the arguments for real pets you choose the second corner. If you think that it is better not to have a pet at all you choose the third corner. Think what suits you more and choose the corner. Now, in groups, discuss your ideas. Start the person, who is taller. Well done. Let`s listen to your ideas.

The first corner:

P1: You don`t need to clean up after virtual pets. You don`t need a vet.

P2: They are not expensive to keep…. P3: They don`t bark when hungry….

The second corner:

P1: The real pet can protect you. It can show you affection.

P2: You can play with real pet.

The third corner:

P1: It`s better not to have a pet because you don`t worry that your pet is hungry…

Teacher:  Thank you very much, your ideas are very unusual and interesting. Take your seats.

7)Homework

You homework is to prepare arguments for and against modern gadgets.

Today we`ve worked very hard. We can compare our brains with bulbs. Sometimes bulbs shine very dimly, sometimes very brightly, sometimes not dimly, not brightly. Show me please with your hands how have your brains worked today. Ok, thank you very much. The lesson is over. Good bye.
