Конспект урока английского языка по теме «Защита окружающей среды» в 7 класс

Цели занятия:

Образовательные:

Ознакомить и активизировать лексические единицы по теме.

Активизировать грамматический материал в устной речи.

Формировать навыки общения на английском языке.

Развивающие цели:

Формировать умения и навыки самостоятельной работы.

Развивать навыки работы в команде при решении творческих задач.

Развивать способности к самостоятельному поиску и использованию информации при решении творческой задачи.

Развивать умение ставить проблему и находить пути её решения.

Повышать мотивацию студентов к изучению английского языка.

Воспитательные цели:

Воспитывать ответственность, добросовестное отношение к выполняемой работе.

Прививать навыки коллективного труда.

Формировать бережное отношение к природе и окружающей среде.

Тип занятия: усвоение новых знаний на основе имеющихся.

I. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning boys, girls and dear guests! I am very glad to see you at this lesson! Sit down, please! Our today lesson is called…

Teacher: First of all, I want you to look at these beautiful nature views.

Do you like them? Of cause, they are wonderful. And now I’ll show you some photos, which I’ve recently made.

Do you like them? They are terible, aren’t they? Do you want that our lovely planet looks like that? Do you want that all these beautiful views will disappear forever? No, of course not. I believe you don’t. In order not to lose these wonderful places, people must protect our nature.

Teacher: A lot people all over the world are very busy protecting our planet from water, air, and land pollution. So, today we’ll continue to speak about Environmental Problems and how we can help. You will work in two groups. At the end of this lesson one group will have to give marks to another one. In order to do it right you’ve got special lists.

At the lesson, we’ll:

work with the cards, pictures.

Listen to the text.

read the text.

work in groups discussing the problems of Environmental Protection.

create different ways of protecting our planet.

Teacher: And now, let’s agree or disagree with these sentences.

1) Our nature is beautiful.

2) The land, the forests and the rivers are important to people.

3) The land, water and air are not polluted now.

4) We must kill animals and birds.

5) People mustn’t take care of our planet.

6) It is important to keep rivers clean.

7) It is necessary to feed birds in winter.

Teacher: Well done! You are right. So, it’s very important to keep our nature clean.

Now listen to some stories, connected with our theme. Your task is to write down a number of the story.

Teacher: And now I’ll give you the text about the most important Environmental Problems.

Teacher: After reading the text you must say:

what are the most important environmental problems nowadays?

What is in great danger?

Who is killing our planet?

Teacher: You have 5 minutes.

It’s a wonderful world we live in. For thousands of years the Earth has given support to all forms of life — human beings, animals, birds, fishes, insects and plants.

But now human beings are killing our planet.

Many species of animals and birds have dis­appeared. Millions of animals die every year be­cause man has polluted their natural homes. Be­sides, every year people cut down more trees, build more roads, and use more land for farm­ing. This leaves fewer jungles, fields and forests for wildlife.

The country air, once clean and fresh, now may be polluted by power stations* and factories. Some of our rivers are now empty of fish. And in some rivers you can even see a thick foam (пена)caused by chemical waste.

All over the world the forests are disappearing. People cut the trees down because they need wood and paper or new places for farms and houses. Forests the size of Belgium are destroyed every year. It's an international disaster. Even if new trees are planted, it takes many years for them to grow.

Go to the seaside and you'll see the pollution around you. There is a lot of litter on the beaches. Some of it was left by people and some was brought by the water.

Pollution is very dangerous for people, wild­life and the environment.

We live among litter and wastes which we have created ourselves — fumes of cars, throwaway packaging"*, etc. People don't just pollute the environment. They pollute themselves with cigarettes, alcohol and junk food"*.

These are some of the world's most serious environmental problems. And it's no good pre­tending they don't exist — they do. What's more, they are getting worse all the time! What will happen if we don't try to solve these problems? Scientists have made predictions and they are alarming.

junk food — unhealthy food like popcorn, chips, hamburgers etc.

Teacher: And now answer my questions, please.

- Who is killing our planet?

-What happens with the forests?

- Are animals in danger too?

- Do we breathe fresh air or not?

- What can we do to protect our planet?

So you can see that there are a lot of environmental problems and our planet is in great danger! Do you agree with me? So, what do you think who can help our planet, our city, our nature?

IV. Написание правил.

Teacher: That’s right. Only people themselves can do that. How can we help? In order to answer this question I’ll give you the task. I ask you to write these signs. The first group will write so-called “Must Rules” and the second one – “Mustn’t rules”. After finishing I’ll check your sentences. (What’s this rule about? What does this sign mean?) You have 5 minutes.

Teacher: Very well done. Excellent work. So, we’ve got a lot of problems with pollution, throwing litter, fumes of cars, throwaway packaging. But also we’ve got a lot of ways of solving these problems. Am I right? So we all must work together to keep our world green. The world around us is wonderful. Let's preserve it.

V. Проверка усвоенного материала.

Teacher: And now I want to check how do you understand the rules? I’ll give you papers with sentences, but some words are missing. Your task is to fill in the missing words.

You mustn't leave  after resting.

People mustn’t  trees.

People mustn’t  animals.

We mustn't throw  into the river.

We mustn’t forests, because it’s natural homes to animals.

We use too much energy and water.

We feed animals and birds.

We must  flowers and trees.

We must  our trash.

We must keep the country .

We save the energy and water.

They must take  home.

People  feed of animals, birds in winter.

We should use cars only when it’s necessary, because its fumes  air.

Teacher: Very well done. Excellent work. Let’s check.

Teacher: Our lesson is going to finish so I ask Rita and Igor to read two little poems about nature and its protection.

What have they done to the trees?

This land which is ours from our birth

VI. Подведение итогов урока, оценка работы учащихся.

Teacher: Our lesson is coming to end. Please, use the lists you have and give marks to your classmates. Today we spoke about one of the most important topic. It is Environmental problems and its solutions. I hope the lesson was interesting and you have learned a lot. Thank you very much.
