Good morning, boys and girls! I am very glad to see you today. How are you? Its time to say “hello” and start our lesson.

Today we are going to talk about hobbies. As for grammar we shall do some exercises using Present Continuous Tense.

As you remember the subject of our todays discussion is “ Hobbies”. Hobby is a favourite pastime of a person. Hobbies differ like tastes. If you have a hobby, your life is more interesting. There are a lot of hobbies. Try to name and to write them on the blackboard.

Now Id like you to listen to me, I will read short stories about different hobbies. Your task is to guess what hobbies they are and name them in ENGLISH.

-This hobby is popular among the people of all ages .People like to go to the stadium or to the sports ground. They are strong and cheerful. Their hobby helps them to plan their time. ( Sport)

-People like to work in the garden and to spend time in the fresh air. They are fond of flowers, bushes and different plants. They like nature and admire the beauty of nature. Their hobby is the best way to relax .( gardening)

-People like to make new dishes .They cook for their family and for their friends. They can present the food nicely and lay the table beautifully. They can boil or fry meat and fish, make souses and deserts.( cooking)

-People like to go to the library. Some of them have good collections of books at home. They are very proud of them. Their hobby helps them to relax, to learn the world and to understand other people better.( reading)

Now I will give you 2 minutes to read and translate the text, then answer the questions.

Text.

Its 8 o clock. The children go to school on foot every day, but today they are going to school by car.

Its 10 o clock. Mrs.Smith usually stays at home in the morning, but this morning she is going to the shop.

Its 4 o clock. In the afternoon Mrs.Smith usually drink tea in the living-room, but this afternoon she is drinking tea in the garden.

Its 6 o clock. In the evening the children usually do their homework, but this evening they are not doing their homework. At the moment they are playing in the garden.

Its 9 o clock .Mr.Smith usually reads his newspaper at night. But he isnot reading his newspaper tonight. At the moment he is reading an interesting book.

9.Our time is over. Thank you for your work. Your home work is EX.16 P.58. Will you stand up please? Lets recite the poem.
