Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку.

Название: « Intellectual Marathon ».

Форма проведения: игра-соревнование.

Класс: 5




Мною была выбрана игровая форма проведения мероприятия, т.к. игра является одним из эффективных способов приобщения учащихся к культуре стран изучаемого языка. В игре всегда предполагается решение: как поступить, что сказать, как выиграть.

За несколько дней до игры учащиеся были ознакомлены с условиями ее проведения и получили домашнее задание: выбрать капитана, придумать название и девиз команды, изготовить именные значки. Это позволило снять «боязнь» и способствовало созданию благоприятной психологической атмосферы. 

Каждый конкурс был посвящен той или иной теме («Животные», «Литературные герои», «Знаменитые люди», «СК Великобритании и Северной Ирландии» и др.), что способствовало более прочному усвоению программного материала, формированию и закреплению у учащихся навыков иноязычной речи.

Работа в командах способствовала формированию у учащихся таких положительных личностных качеств, как доброжелательность, ответственность, чувство взаимопомощи. Успех одного – успех всей команды, а успех всей команды – успех одного. Выполнение заданий занимало немного времени и позволяло проверить одновременно всех учащихся, которые были поставлены в равные условия, т.е. работали в одно и то же время с одинаковым по объему и сложности материалом. Чувство равенства, атмосфера увлеченности дали возможность ребятам преодолеть стеснительность, скованность, снять языковой барьер и усталость.

Благодаря игре учащиеся расширили границы своих знаний в области географии, культуры, истории стран изучаемого языка.

Полагаю, что проведение подобных мероприятий позволяет обеспечить довольно высокий уровень усвоения реалий, национально-специфической информации и служит стимулом к дальнейшему получению информации лингвострановедческого характера.


^ Сценарий проведения внеклассного мероприятия 

по английскому языку в 5 классе 

« Intellectual Marathon »


Цели игры:

1. Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся.

Развивать креативные способности учащихся.

Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Образовательные задачи: 

1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам («Животные», «Числительные», «Магазин», «СК Великобритании и Северной Ирландии» и др.) и расширить общий кругозор.

Развивающие задачи: 

Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение; 

Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.


Оформление кабинета:

На доске название игры «Интеллектуальный марафон», флаги англоязычных стран, карта СК Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, правила игры, квадрат с цифрам, перечень конкурсов.


Ход занятия.

Оргмомент. Приветствие ведущего.

Quiz-master: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called “ Intellectual Marathon”. Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Erudites”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!”

Quiz-master: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Optimists”. Our motto is “Learn English!”.

Quiz-master: And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called “The ABC game”. Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

(Карточки с буквами: 1. Е, N, G, L, A, N, D. 2. A, M, E, R, I, C, A).


Quiz-master: And now we come to the 2^nd contest which is called “A magic 5”. Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number. “ …”, it’s your turn to start. Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number.

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

Say or sing the English alphabet.

Quiz-master: The 3^rd contest is called “Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts so as to get a popular name. Who will be the first? You can get 1 point for each right answer.

Quiz-master: Friends, do you like music? Listen to the song “Do You Live in London?” now and sing with British children. Our jury will add up the score of the game.

Jury: The score is … to … in smb’s favour. The team “…” is the winner.

Цели: повторение числительных, дат, развитие навыков аудирования, говорения, чтения, письма.

Задачи: привитие интереса к изучаемому языку, развитие кругозора, умение работать в команде.

Игра  с участниками конкурса.Пока жюри подсчитывает баллы и  подписывает грамоты – поиграть со всем участниками и зрителями в пантомиму.  Учитель загадывает животное, а ученик изображает это животное пантомимой (без  звуков). Все остальные должны угадать это животное, но называть животных можно  только на английском – только такой ответ принимается как правильный.
