The theme: «Nothing is forever»

Тема: «Ничто не вечно (Проблемы экологии и защиты окружающей среды)»

Цель: совершенствование навыков, умений устной речи.

Задачи:

учебные: 1)формирование навыков и умений всех видов речевой деятельности: умение работать с новой лексикой, аудировать и читать незнакомый текст с извлечением нужной информации, использовать ситуацию, изложенную в текстах для: а) оценки полученной информации, б)установки причинно-следственной связи.

2)обсуждать проблемы по данной теме;

3)ознакомление с правилом словообразования отглагольных существительных (глагол + tion = существительное), “Thedefinitearticle «THE»”, а также повторение повелительного наклонения

развивающие: 1)формирование творческих способностей учащихся путем использования различных методов работы, способствующих их творческой активизации;

2)вовлечение школьников в активную речевую деятельность на уроке путем использования современных средств обучения и различных организационных форм работы;

3)развитие способностей к выражению своего отношения к окружающей среде и экологии;

4) развивать у детей познавательную активность;

5) Умение работать в группе и самостоятельно.

воспитательные: продолжение ориентирования учащихся на разумную, экологически обоснованную деятельность, способствующую рациональному использованию и охране окружающей природной среды.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент. Введение в атмосферу иноязычной речи.(3 мин)

Teacher:Hello, boys and girls, glad to see you, sit down, please. what date is it today?

Pupil: Today is the 29^th of October

T: What is the weather like today?

P: The weather is cool (cold, warm, rainy, sunny).

2.Речеваязарядка.

3.1 Языковая практика и аудирование.

At home you’ve read the song about nature. Did you guess who is speaking in the first verse, in the second, the third, the forth and the refrain?

T. - Who wants to answer?

P1 – The environment is speaking in the first verse

P2 – The plants are speaking in the second verse

P3 - The water is speaking in the third verse

P4 – The animals are speaking in the forth verse

P5 – The people are speaking in the refrain

T. – That’s right!

T:And now let’s sing this song. (ученики поют песню хором).

T:Verygood.Please, choose the name of this song:

“Today and tomorrow”

“Oceans, forest and animals.”

“Nothing is forever”

“Please, stop”

T:So, the theme of our lesson is “Nothing is forever”.

Pupils can you guess about what we are going to talk today?

We are going to speak about nature, animals, plants, the atmosphere. We’ll speak about its role in our lives. We’ll name the ecological problems and discuss them. Pay attention to the poem on the blackboard. Read it.

Существительные- Our grammar rule for today is “The definite article «THE»”, -определенныйартикль «THE».

Некоторыесловаизнашейтемыотносятсякэтомуправилу: the environment, the atmosphere, the world, the sun, the sky, the Earth. Почему? Потому, что они являются единственными в своем роде. Артикль the употребляется с предметами и понятиями, которые являются единственными в своем роде.

А такие названия планет как Mars[mα:z],Venus[`vi:nǝs]andJupiter[`dƷu:pitǝ]употребляются без артикля.

3.3 Open your books on page 63. Do ex.2 in your books. Take your pencils, please, and write articles the, a or no article.

T.:The problem of relations between man and nature is becoming more and more important. What ecological problems can you name?

Here you can see a fish bone. Use your imagination. It can represent the whole world. The body of the fish represents the ecological problems(air pollution, land pollution, water pollution, destruction of natural resources, deforestation, endangered species), the tail is for the reasons of this problems(factories, cars, transport, trash, poisonous chemicals). And the last part is the head. Here we’ll write the main reason of all ecological problems (man). Let’s complete this fish bone.

P4- Deforestation

P5- Destruction of natural resources

2)Give some facts proving that:

P1 – Rivers are dead. There are Less fish in the rivers as a result. We can’t drink this water. The seas are in danger too. They are filled with toxins and chemicals.

P2 – Factories emit tons of chemicals. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains.

P3 – The fish in the river is dead. Everyyear the population of animals is getting less and less.There are a lot of animals in the Red Book.

P4- There are a lot of tins and paper plates all other the place.

There are much litter in the forests and parks.

3.6Диалогическая речь(инсценировка сказки).

What is the main reason for all these problems? We’ll get to know when we see the sketch.

Author: Once there was a wise old man. He could answer any questions in the world. Everybody knew about him. One day two boys wanted to fool that old man.

Boy1: I’m going to fool that old man. I have a good idea! Let’s catch a bird; go to the old man and say, “We are holding something in our hands. Is it alive or is it dead?

Boy2: That’s great! If he says, “Dead”, we’ll let the bird fly, and if he says, “Alive”, we’ll kill it.

Author: They caught a bird and they carried it to the old man

Boy1: Good morning. We know you can answer any questions in the world.

The old man: Yeeeer. What do you want to know?

Boy2: We are holding something in our hands. Is it alive or is it dead?

Author: And the wise old man looked at the young people and smiled.

The old man: Everything is in your hands,” he said.

Answer my question- Who is the main reason of all ecological problems?

Of course, it is a man!

Here we’ll write the main reason of all ecological problems (man).

It’s really true everything is in our hands. We can to save or to kill everything. What way will you choose?

P: We must save our planet!

T:So, how can you help the environment? How can you protect the world around us?

I know that nowadays many people take care of animals and plants. Do you know such people? Do you know the organization which takes care of animals and plants? One of them is Greenpeace. Look at the screen and read the text. You have a piece of paper. Take it, have a look. Fill in the gaps. Listen to the text very attentively.

3.7Повторение словообразования – tion.

Use a noun from a verb from the following: inform, situate, protect, pollute, organize. Mind the rule about word-building- the suffix -tion

What do the members of Greenpeace do?

They protect the environment.

They fight against water pollution.

They fight against air pollution.

They save animals and plants

What must all of you do to protect the nature? Now you say what will you do for the Earth and future generations?

А теперь, ребята, давайте вернёмся к началу нашего урока. Вспомним слова, написанные на доске. (Дети читают). И попробуйте сейчас предложить свои варианты окончания этого четверостишия, обсудите их так же в группах и запишите на листе бумаги. Варианты ответов:

3.8. Создание творческого проекта «Экологическое дерево»

T: How can you help the environment? Every student takes the tree leaf and writes a motto for people. Use Imperative Mood and the words of our lesson. Collect all your tree leaves and make a poster an ECOLOGICAL TREE. So, let’s start!

For example:

Don`t pollute rivers!

Protect our planet!

Don`t ignore the problems of environmental pollution!

Love animals, plants and people!

Don`t drop litter! Use bins of litter!

Pollution of nature is global danger!

Don`t cut down trees!

Don`t kill animals!

Turn off lights and water!

Don’t leave campfire!

4.Итоги урока, самооценка, домашнее задание.

T: The main reason of all the ecological problems is a man. We, the future generation, understand that everything is in our hands: we can kill and we can save the nature. It all depends on us. Remember about it when you drop litter on the street, make a forest fire, when your parents wash a car in the river or kill fish with dynamite.

Do you know pupils from our school take part in the ecological program “Eco- Schools/ Green Flag”? Do you want to join this school club? What ways of solving ecological problems can you offer to this organization?
