(Животные в опасности)

План урока

Цели урока:

-активизация лексики предыдущего урока;

-развитие умений учащихся читать с полным охватом содержания и с целью извлечения конкретной информации;

-развитие грамматических навыков сравнивать времена (PastContinuous/PastIndefinite)

Задачи урока:

1)воспитательная: воспитывать у учащихся бережное отношение к животным;

2)образовательная: приобретений знаний о животных, которые занесены в Красную Книгу;

3)развивающая: развитие речемыслительной деятельности, повышения мотивации к изучению английского языка;

Необходимые ресурсы: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, презентация PowerPoint к уроку.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент (приветствие и объяснение целей урока).

-Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you. I hope you are fine and feel ready for our work.

-Children, at the beginning of our lesson I would like you to listen to the following melody and guess what TV- programme it is from.

P1:“In the animals’ world”

-Yes, you are right. N.Drozdov was the leader of this TV-programme and he told us about different animals on our planet. How do you think what we are going to speak about.

P2:About animals.

-Yes, you are right. We are going to read and to talk about animals, which are in danger and disappearing nowadays. Then we’ll remember how to use Past Continuous and Past Indefinite.

II.Фонетическая зарядка (на отработку новых слов)

-Look at the blackboard (screen). Let’s repeat the new words after me.

-Andrew, read the words.

-Danila, read only the adjectives.

-Dima, read only the verbs.

-Give me the three forms of the verb to hide.

III.Речеваяразминка.

a)Translate the following word combinations into English. (среди животных, высоко в небе, в чаще леса, спасти животных, свежий воздух, прятаться в чаще леса, исчезать, быть в опасности).

b)Fill in the new words and complete the sentences.

1) The eagle was flying … in the sky.

2) There was a little house … in the forest.

3) Which is the … mountain in the world.

4) Moscow is … the largest cities in the world.

5) My uncle … a baby from the burning house.

6) There were no … flowers in that shop.

7) Not only animals are in … nowadays.

IV. Развитие умений учащихся читать текст с разными стратегиями

-Let’s continue our work. Look at the screen. Do you know what kind of book it is?

-PI: It’s the Red Book.

-Yes, it’s the Red Book. What kind of information can we find in the Red Book?

(…about flowers and plants. We can learn about birds and animals which are disappearing nowadays.)

-You are right. What animals and birds from this book do you remember?

(Lions, white bears, camels, eagles, parrots, monkeys…)

-OK. And today we’ll read about elephants and tigers. Open your textbooks and find ex.17,p.118. Let’s read it and get ready to answer the question why some animals are in danger.

-Are you ready to answer the question?

(People have hunted and killed many animals. Theu have cut down many trees and there are no many forests for animals nowadays. Modern life is bad for animals. The air is not fresh. The water is not clean. They don’t have good things to eat and space to live.)

V.Физкультминутка.

-Thank you, pupils, I see you are tired. I think it’s time to have a rest.

VI.Развитиенавыковаудирования.

-Now, pupils, listen to the text again and get ready to answer the questionwhy people have hunted and killed many tigers in India. (work and discuss in pairs)

-Are you ready to answer the question?

P1: Tigers can kill domestic animals and sometimes they can also kill men that’s why people kill them to save their domestic animals and their lives.

P2: Some people kill tigers for fun and for thei beautiful skin.

VII.Контроль понимания текста.

-OK. I hope you have understood the main idea. Let’s find the questions after the text and answer them. We will work in a chain. (ответыучащихся)

Now discuss in pairs what people must do to save wild animals.

3) -The next task for you. You will write in your copybooks if the following statements are true or false. (записывают в тетрадях ответы)

True or False?

Tigers and elephants are not dangerous.

People hunted tigers just for fun sometimes.

African elephants are disappearing nowadays.

The Red Book is a Book with famous fairy tales.

People must take care of nature and animals.

Only tigers and elephants are in danger nowadays.

Modern life is bad for animals and birds.

African elephants can help men.

Tigers have got beautiful skin.

Most tigers hide in deep and dark forests.

4) Look at the blackboard (screen). You can see some statements. They are answers to the questions. Will you ask questions to them?

1. Yes, many wild animals are in danger nowadays.

2. Indian tigers and African elephants are among them.

3. People kill tigers not only to save domestic animals, but also for fun.

4. There are few Indian tigers on the Earth now.

5. They hide from people in deep, dark forests.

VIII. Повторение и закрепление использованияPastContinuous и PastIndefinite.

-Let’s remember the use of Past Continuous and Past Indefinite.

IX. Подведение итогов и объяснение домашнего задания.

-So, children, today we have talked about animals, which are in danger and disappearing nowadays. You see that the problem of disappearing animals is very actual.

You should tell about disappearing animals to your friends, parents. People must stop hunting and killing animals, stop cutting down trees, take care of animals, stop buying things made of animals’ skins. And now you know how to use P.C. and P.I.

-I thank you for your active work at the lesson. For the next lesson you have to make up a dialogue in pairs about disappearing animals. You can use questions from the textbook.
