Цель:1.Дать учащимся первоначальные знания о возникновении религии.

2.Повышение духовно-нравственной культуры учащихся

3.Отвлечение учащихся от негативных явлений современной жизни

Тема:Christmas. Подготовка к Рождеству.

Задачи: 1.Учить общаться по теме на английском языке.

2.Систематизировать знания учащихся рождественской.

3.Знакомить с традициями и обычаями страны изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: рисунки символов Рождества, аудиозаписи рождественских песен,

Ход праздника.

Учитель - Good afternoon, children.

Hello everybody.

Do you know why we gathered together here on this date? What date is it today? What holiday do the people from all the world celebrate on the 25^th of December? Yes, you are right. Today is the 25-th of December. And all Christians Catholics celebrate one of the remarkable Christians holiday – Christmas.

Christmas is a religious holiday. It is the day on which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a happy holiday. Families come together to share their happiness, attend church, and exchange gifts. In the days before Christmas, parties are held in schools, offices, factories, and clubs; shops and stores are crowded with shoppers. Cities and towns sparkle with bright lights and decorations. Churches, homes, schools, shops, and streets are decorated with Christmas trees, colored lights, Santa Claus and his reindeer. The traditional colors for this holiday are red and green. Families prepare for this holiday weeks before. They make special foods. They make and buy gifts. They wrap them with bright paper and ribbons. They choose aChristmas treeand then decorateit.

You know already that Father Christmas (Santa Claus) comes into children’s homes on Christmas Eve. He has a white beard and white and red clothes. He is always merry. They say he comes from the North Pole. He brings presents for the children

Every English family sends and receives many Christmas cards. Traditionally there is a robin on almost every card (and you know already that a robin as a Christmas bird). Sometimes there is a bunch of holly on the Christmas card. You can read on the card: “Merry Christmas”

Christmas stockings

In the evening of the 24^th of December children hang their Christmas stockings on their beds or put them under the Christmas tree. Father Christmas (Santa Claus) put presents into them. A Christmas stocking is not a real stocking. It is big and beautiful decorated.

Christmas pudding.

Christmas pudding was first made many, many years ago. Now it is the highlight of Christmas dinner. Children often put holly on the pudding. Traditionally a coin is placed into the pudding . it brings good luck to a person who finds it.

Yule log.

A Yule log is a piece of wood which people burn in the fireplace on Christmas Eve.

Candle and crackers.

On Christmas Eve people like to light candles. If there are children in the family, they often have Christmas crackers. When you pull a cracker it makes a bang and inside there is usually a Christmas hat, a small toy and a piece of paper with a joke on it.
