Little Red Riding Hood (текст)

This is the story of me. I`m a little girl. I live in a village near a big forest. My grandma had made me a beautiful red cloak with a big red hood, which I wore every time I went outside. So everybody (everyone) in the village called me Little Red Riding Hood.

One day, my mother said that my grandma wasn`t feeling very well and I should take this basket of food through the forest to her cottage. I put on my red cloak and pulled my red hood, took the basket (of food) and wear into the forest.

By the way, my mother said that I mustn`t talk to any strangers along the way. And I promised her.

I skipped down the path into the woods. I didn`t have to worry about getting lost in the forest, because I knew the way to my grandma`s house very well.

But along the way, I saw some beautiful wildflowers growing near the path and I stopped to pick up a few.

Suddenly, I heard growling voice behind me. I was very startled. I spun around and saw a big Bad Wolf standing in the shadows between two trees.

I didn`t know the wolf was bad and I had already forgotten my mother`s words about talking to strangers.

The wolf asked me where I was going to and answered to his question. The wolf smiled and showed off his mouthful of sharp teeth. He was quite hungry but he was not interested in the basket of food.

Then, I skipped off down the path.

The big Bad Wolf`s stomach grumbled and growled with hunger, and suddenly he had an idea. As quick as he could, he ran through the forest, all the way to Grandma`s cottage.

The sneaky wolf opened the door very quietly and found Grandma asleep in her bed.

He picked my granny up, opened his great mouth, and he swallowed poor Grandma in one GULP.

Then the Big Bad Wolf climbed into the bed and pulled the blanket up to his chin. He put on Grandma`s glasses and her nightcap and he waited for me to arrive with my flowers and a basket of food.

When I arrived at the cottage, I opened the door quietly and found Granny lying in bed. I gave her a basket of food and flowers, but I heard fake Grandma`s voice.

I took a step closer and noticed that something looked a little different. Her eyes were big. I took another step closer to the bed. Her ears were big. Then, I took one more step closer. I was surprised that her teeth were also big.

The wolf jumped out of the bed and he opened his great big mouth.

I shrieked and tried to run, but hungry wolf grabbed me up and swallowed me in just one GULP.

Outside the cottage, a woodsman happened to be walking through the forest when he heard my shriek of surprised. He hurried to see the wolf and his huge round belly.

The woodsman grabbed up the Big Bad Wolf, turned him upside-down, and shook him by the feet. I came tumbling out of the wolf`s mouth And Grandma followed.

We chased the Big Bad Wolf out of the cottage, out of the forest, and over the hill.

The Big Bad Wolf ran for his life and was never seen again.

I learned my lesson, and I never, ever talked to strangers after that.
