Theme: «Food».

Тема урока: Предлагаем угощение.

Цель урока: Совершенствование лексико-грамматических навыков.

Задачи урока:

- организация деятельности учащихся, направленной на развитие умений устной и письменной речи с использованием активного лексического материала по теме, ввести структуру wouldyoulikesome? и doyoulike? при обсуждении своих любимых блюд. Продолжить совершенствование навыка восприятия и понимания речи на слух при просмотре мультфильма «Lunch»,создать условия для обогащения словарного запаса учащихся через изучение идиом и пословиц по теме;

- содействие развитию слуховой и зрительной памяти, внимания, воображения, логического мышления, умения представлять результаты своей учебной деятельности разными средствами выразительности;

- продолжить формирование правила этикета в гостях, правильного использования столовых приборов через ролевую игру по теме, содействовать дальнейшему развитию культуры взаимодействия и сотрудничества.

Тип урока: комбинированный с элементами ролевой игры.

Используемые технологии: коммуникативный личностно-деятельностный подход, игровая.

Формы организации познавательной деятельности: фронтальная, индивидуальная, групповая.

Используемые средства: столовые приборы, доска учебная, компьютер, проектор, презентация, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока

I.Организационный момент.

Good morning, dear girls and boys! Glad to see you here. I hope you are Ok today.I’m OK too.

II.Целеполагание.

As you know, people from around the world eat different kinds of food and they have different tastes and table manners. And there are some nice proverbs to begin our lesson:

Tastesdiffer –о вкусах не спорят.

The appetite comes with eating – Аппетитприходитвовремяеды.

Today we 'll continue learnning new words, idioms according to the lesson;

study table manners and difference between two phrases: do you like/ would you liksome...?

III. Речевая разминка на повторения активного лексического материала.

Now please, one by one pull one of the questions and read it loudly for your partner.

What are typical Belarusian national dishes?

Who usually cooks in your family?

What can you cook?

Do you always have three meals a day?

Do you ever skip meals?

Do you always wash your hands before meals?

What’s your favourite meal?

What’s the best thing to do after a lovely meal?

Do you like fast food?

What is your favourite drink?

Is it healthy to eat much sweet and salt?

What are typical British national dishes?

III. Работа с новой лексикой по теме (идиомы) и закрепление её в устной речи.

I see you know a lot about food and meal, British and our national dishes. But let's study some fruit and vegetables idioms . Idiom -a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words. I think they make your speech more perfect.Take these idiom cards and match them with their definitions.

Fruit idioms

Give smb. another bite of a cherry – to get a second chance.

A real peach – something or someone wonderful.

Go bananas - to go mad and crazy.

Life 's just a bowl of cherries - when everything is going well.

Vegetables idioms

To be full of beans – to be exited about something.

To be a couch potato – to be fat and lazy.

To be as cool as a cucumber – stay calm and relaxed in difficult situations.

To veg out – behave like vegetables.

And now you will read some sentences with the idioms missing. Use the picture to help you remember the idiom and translate the sentences.

I failed my exam, but my teacher gave me another bite of a cherry.

She is a real peach, isn‘t she?

After a long week at the office, I just want to veg out at the weekend.

At home you found information about table manners. And now share it with us!

How to behave at dinner!

First of all you should always arrive on time. When in the dinning room, don't take a seat until your host or hostess shows you where to sit. Plates and bowls of food are usually passed from person to person around the table.Don't reach in front of someone for a dish,the salt,or the pepper.Simply say, «Please, pass the salt.»

Do you have good table manners?

Table manners

Don't put your elbow on the table while you are eating.

Never talk with your mouth full.

Only talk about nice things at the dinner table.

When eating take as much as you want, but eat as much as you take.

Take a slice of bread from the bread-plate by hand.

Try to make as little noise as possible when eating.

Napkin Manners

1.Open your napkin and put it on your lap.

2. When you leave the table during a meal, place your napkin on the chair, not on the table.

3. When the meal is over, pick up your napkin, wipe your mouth, and place it on the table to the left of your plate.

Fork and Knife Manners

The fork is held in the left hand and the knife in the right.

Put food into you mouth with your fork and not with your knife.

Place your fork and knife on your plate while talking or when you are resting between bites.

Place your knife and fork on your plate crosswise when you have finished dinner.

Spoon manners

To eat dessert, break the dessert with the spoon, one bite at a time. Push the food with the fork (optional) into the spoon. Eat from the spoon. (Fork in left hand; spoon in right.)

After you stir your tea with a spoon, place it on the saucer.

After dinner!

Always compliment the cook by saying, " The meal is delicious!" When you are leaving, thank your host or hostess by saying, " thank you for a nice evening. I enjoyed it very much."

V.Физкультминутка.

VI.Восприятие иноязычной речи на слух на закрепление структур Wouldyoulikesome...? /Doyoulike...? На повторение грамматического материала на использование some,any,a/an.

Before watching short funny cartoon about George's table manners and what he likes or dislikes to eat, tell me please what is the difference between these two structures:

Would you like some cheese?

VII.Выполнение упражнений на понимание просмотренного мультфильма.

Put in some, any, a/an.

1.Would you like to pick ..... vegetables from the garden for lunch?

2. Let's choose .... vegetables for lunch.

3. There is .... cucumber, Grandpapa pig grew it in his garden.

4. Here is .... salad!

5. Try .... piece of lettuce.

6. Are you full to eat .... more tomatoes,cucumbers?
