Teacher: Good morning! Glad to see you at our lesson ‘’Gadgets and new technologies in our life”. Meet our guests, but don’t be shy.

We’re living in a fast-moving world where science and technologies play an essential part. People nowadays can’t imagine their lives without modern conveniences.They are changing the lifestyle of millions of people all over the world. Modern inventions are used in everyday life and make it easier. What are gadgets? Why does a modern man need them? This is what we are going to speak about at our lesson And dear students we are expecting to see your projects today. (1 слайд)

3.Сабақтың барысы;

1)Teacher: Let’s revise the names of modern inventions that have changed our life. What inventions are the most important for you? What devices do we use at home or at work?

Teacher : Look at the pictures on the screen . What modern inventions do people use in everyday life and why do people use them? (3 слайд).
a camera, a sewing machine, a computer, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, 
a mobile phone, a TV set, , a mower, a vacuum cleaner, a calculator, a videophone, an alarm clock, a DVD player, a fax machine.

2) Teacher. Now you’ll have to choose a right answer and to put one appropriate word instead of a cloud. (4, 5 слайд)

3)Teacher. You know that many abbreviations and English words are used in Russian language but most people don’t know their meanings. Let’s see if you know the abbreviations of some words. (6 слайд) Учащиеся расшифровывают аббревиатуры и переводят их на русский язык.

4. Speaking and using vocabulary.Сөздіктерді айту,

1) Teacher: Now look at the screen again. What do we use different devices for? Here you are to match the words with the phrases.

2) Teacher: I wonder how these modern gadgets and machines get into our life, who can advise you to choose this or that thing?

Teacher: Yes, TV, radio, magazines and newspapers advertise a lot of products. I know that some of the pupils have prepared their projects, adverts, and they’re going to tell about them.

Teacher: What device would you like to have at home and why? Which gadget to your opinion is the most useful one and why?

                3) Teacher: There’re so many gadgets and innovations in our life that sometimes it can be difficult to choose something interesting. I know that Nikita and Alyona want to speak about a very sophisticating gadget: a Dogwalker. Let’s listen to them.

Did you like the device? Who would like to purchase it?

                4) Teacher. I’m sure that Transportation system and means of transport will also undergo some changes in future. What is your opinion about this matter?

Our pupil Ksenia Andreeva has already tried to ride a very interesting gadget while she was on holiday in summer.

5) Teacher . Everybody at home has different gadgets and electronical machines which are used in everyday life. Name the things without what you can’t imagine living in your house.
( A dish washer, a Vacuum-cleaner, a microwave –oven, fridge). 9 слайд.

You know soon everything at home will be operated with computers. Such houses are called “Smart houses”. What these houses look like? Meet Kinda with her presentation “Smart Houses”.

Teacher. Did you like the project? Would you like to live in a smart house?

6) Teacher. Let’s speak about robots now. What do you think is it a good idea to replace people with robots in certain jobs? Why? Would you like to have a robot? What would you like it to do for you?

Conclusion of the lesson.

Teacher . Our lesson comes to an end and I want to say that you are brilliant, your projects were wonderful and informative. You’ve worked hard. Thank you for your excellent preparation for this lesson. You are getting good and excellent marks .

Your homework is to write a report about any gadget you want. Please, follow the plan on the screen.
