Урок по теме «A world of parties»

Урок английского языка для начальной школы знакомит учеников с темой «A world of parties» (Мир праздников). Материал разработан на основе учебно-методического комплекса «Spark 2» и помогает освоить лексику, связанную с праздниками и вечеринками. В ходе занятия школьники учатся рассказывать о своих любимых праздниках, описывать подготовку к ним и традиции разных стран. Упражнения направлены на развитие навыков аудирования, чтения, устной речи и письма, делая изучение языка увлекательным и практичным. Урок способствует расширению кругозора и формированию интереса к культурам мира.

Урокпотеме «A WORLD OF PARTIES» (Parties and Festivals)

Тема: Фестивали

Тип урока: урок усвоения новых знаний.

Цели урока:

1.Образовательная: продолжить развитие умений и навыков диалогической речи; совершенствовать коммуникативные умения и навыки; продолжить воспитание культуры общения.

2.Развивающая:развить память, внимание.

3. Воспитательная: учить учеников целеустремленности, преодолению трудностей, умению работать коллективно.

4. Практическая: продолжить развитие владения всеми видами речевой деятельности.

Задачи урока: формировать навыки восприятия и понимания речи на слух; активизировать навыки чтения, диалогической и монологической речи, письменной речи; активизация грамматического материала (употребление глаголов в PastSimple).

Оборудование (средства обучения): карточки с лексическим и грамматическим материалом, дополнительный раздаточный материал.

Урок создан на основе УМК «Spark 2», Virginia Evans, Jenny Dooley.

T: Look at the picture and guess the topic of the lesson.

T: You are right. The topic of our lesson is Parties and Festivals.

Discussing vocabulary

T: Think of the festival you last went to. What did you do there? What did you see there? Did you like it?

T: I hope till the end of the lesson you will learn more about festivals.

T: I have a letter from my friend.

T: But the letter got wet. And I can’t read some words. Help me read to understand the letter. These are the words. Let’s read them aloud.

T: Do you know the meaning of the words? Ask your partner for the meaning of the words. Work in pairs. Put the words in the letter.

Dear Ksenia,

Thanks for your letter. You asked me about my favourite holiday. This is Easter. The whole town comes alive. This is an ancient tradition. People organize a feast. They usually prepare eggs and special cakes with icing and nuts. It’s delicious! Then people go to temple. They can listen to live music there. After that we always take part in a parade: children wear masks and colourful costumes. They take a lot of snapshots. This is a brilliant time!

T: Stand up and come up to the texts and decide which question refers to which text. Find information according to your questions. Make notes if you need.

I went to Lopburi for the Monkey festival in November. It was brilliant. There were over 10,000 people and hundreds of monkeys there. The people prepared a gigantic feast for the monkeys at the ancient temple. They put lots of nuts, fruit and vegetables on large tables for the monkeys. The monkeys were very happy with the food. One of the monkeys climbed on my shoulder and pulled my hair. It hurt but it was very funny. My mum took a snapshot of me and the monkey. Then there was a big parade of children in monkey costumes. We also listened to live music. I had a fantastic time.

People were wearing very colourful costumes and carnival masks and there was music and dancing in the streets and cafės every night. Her friends and She danced and had fun. They all tried the King Cake too. It’s an oval cake with purple, green and gold icing and a special bean inside. It’s delicious! If you get the bean, you buy the cake the next time. They were all so excited.
