Цели:обобщение и закрепление лексико-грамматического материала, усовершенствование устно-речевых навыков по теме урока;

- развитие навыков чтения, письма и диалогической речи;

- активизация употребления разных грамматических структур;

- расширение мировоззрения учащихся;

- ознакомление с произведениями известных искусствоведов мира;

- воспитание в учащихся любви к миру искусства, развитие заинтересованности в духовном росте, воспитание творческого отношения к жизни, умение аргументировать и отстаивать свою точку зрения.

Оборудование : интерактивная доска, репродукции картин Ван Гога.

Ход урока:

TASTER DIFFER.

Pre-speaking activity.

Dear ladies and gentlemen’s! I’m happy to welcome you here in our school art gallery. We are going to talk about art and artists. You know that different people feel and understand works of art differently. That’s why the first stage of our lesson or the first hall in the gallery is titled as “Tastes Differ”.

Here on the blackboard you can see some examples of paintings. Say, please, what kind of paintings are they? ( На интерактивной доске картины разных жанров : портрет женщины, марина (морской пейзаж), батальная сцена, натюрморт, пейзаж, жанровая картина. Учащиеся называют жанры картин.)

Учитель показывает третий слайд с картиной « Гала» Сальвадора Дали.

Сальвадор Дали – один из основателей сюрреализма в живописи. Гала (Галина Дмитриевна Дьяконова) – жена Дали.

Учащиеся составляют диалоги про свои впечатления от посещения картиной галереи, пользуясь примерами.

Every picture tells a story

Now, please, follow me into another hall of our gallery. There is always a hidden thing in each picture. Besides their beauty or symbolic features canvases can tell us something , though they are dumb.

Please, read about Fedir Krichevsky, a prominent Ukrainian painter of the XIX – XX centuries. He made an invaluable contribution to the development of genre and portrait painting. Like Philip Malyavin, Alexander Arkhipov, Boris Kustodiev, Alexander Murashko he tried to find a pictorial interpretation of a truly national theme. Krychevsky was born on May,10, 1879 in the town of Lebedyn in Kharkov Province into the family of a doctor’s assistant. He spent his childhood in the village of Vorozhba, whose colorful folk festivals and customs and beautiful scenery left an inseparable mark on him for the rest of his life. However, he did not become an illustrator of people’s life or an ordinary chronicler of ethnographic likeness or national color. He was not a cheap stylizator of everyday life but found a pictorial interpretation of a truly national theme, raising it from a mere pictorial projection to the level of an epic.

Reading activity.

“With his painting “ The Bride” he entered the St. Petersburg Academy of Art in 1907. It can be seen as a mature work of art reflecting Krichevsky’s inclinations and individuality. The traditional subject of a folk wedding rite is treated not as a customary genre piece, but on a monumental plan. The nobility of his hero – a cheerful young Ukrainian girl generating pride and sense of inner dignity, spiritual beauty and vitality – speaks of Krychevsky’s desire to pay the highest tribute to characters taken from people and to create types of great power and meaning.

His best oils were born in the picturesque part of UA , in the village Shishaky in Poltava region. In the artist’s vision, this corner of Poltava region was transformed into a generalized image of entire UA, becoming a poetical symbol of his homeland, absorbing the decorative beauty and wealth of the patterns of UA carpets, embroidery and pottery, landing his works a distinctly national coloring.

Krichevsky is an outstanding portraitist. He tirelessly paid tribute to MAN. In portraiture he revealed himself an heir of the Renaissance tradition.”

Have you ever felt that you want to draw smth? I have . But have you ever felt it’s too difficult? I have. Actually, it’s not so difficult as smbd may suppose. So, welcome to our next hall – Van Gogh’s chair or I can draw a masterpiece.

Учащиеся раздают листы с рисунками Ван Гога «Стульчик». Рисунок должен быть черно-белым, у учителя должна быть цветная репродукция.

Writing activity

Учащиеся описывают рисунок, отвечая на вопросы:

Учащиеся сравнивают свои ответы с цветной репродукцией и высказывают свои предположения.

The main theme of the picture seems to a chair, and a pipe and some tobacco lying on this chair. And it seems that there is really nothing else happening in this picture, but it is not true, because you really can feel the presence of a man who left this pipe on this chair, and who just went out to do smth else and will be back in a minute and pick up his pipe and smoke it. The colors typical for Van Gogh are very clear, very bright. The chair is yellow, and it set against the blue background if the wall and it is standing on the floor which is made of red tiles. And those three colors dominate the picture.

HOMEWORK ASSIGMENT

Draw your own chair. Think of at least two things put on it, which show something about you. Draw your masterpiece! Get ready to describe a person according to his/her chair.
