1.NTRODUCTION

We should consider every day lost

in which we have not danced at least once.

(Friedrich Nietzsche)

Everyone chooses for himself a form of leisure according to the tastes, tendencies, age, well-being and even mood. For some, there is nothing more pleasant than to devote time to the book, others are in a hurry for a football match. But there is such a category, for whom word – dancing, is source of impatient, exciting, hours-long expectations.

So the theme for my project I chose quickly. For me dance is not only movement to music, but also a form of communication, and both partners dance, and everyone in the room, in this moment in the role of spectators. This is not only my hobby, but also my life. Going on stage in front of the full hall, I feel a sense of delight and pride. People look at us as we dance. Clap their hands and scream "Bravo"! At this point, I'm happy. But first, you need a lot of work. It is very difficult. Rehearsals take a lot of time and effort. When preparing for the concert, you have to study every day for many hours. But the strength is not a pity. We all strive to perform successfully, to give the audience joy and happiness.

I am very interested to learn more about the history of dance, what kinds of dances exist and what dance in other countries.

Object of study: dance.

Subject of research: modern dances.

The purpose of the study: to consider the history, types and styles of modern dance; to conduct a comparative analysis of the dance trends of children's dance groups, on the example of Berezniki and Winnipeg.

Tasks:

Consider the history of dance.

Find out what kinds of dance exist.

Find out what kinds of dances are used by children's dance groups of Berezniki;

Find out what kinds of dances are used by children's dance groups in Winnipeg;

Summarize the results and draw conclusions.

The stages of the project activities:

1. The study of materials about dances.

2. Generalization of observations, conclusions.

3. Preparation of the presentation.

The hypothesis of the study: we assume that both cities (Berezniki and Winnipeg) in choosing dances are based on the traditions of their people.

Methods: search, study and analysis of information; survey, synthesis and design of the studied material.

Relevance of the research: to meet their classmates and friends with such a wonderful art form, like dance. To show how dancing can affect a person's life.

The history of dance.

I hear a quiet flick of the wing.…

As night as light as day dare…

And flowing lines of themoment, wave…

Oh, how she dances...

Dance is a huge world, to conquer it, you need to have patience. Perhaps the story of the dance is shorter than the history of mankind. We can only guess how dances looked in earlier epochs. There were dances in ancient times. Initially, people danced in order to Express their emotions, because the jubilation of a person starts to dance.

Ancient people celebrated many important events of their life with dances: birth, death, war. With the help of various dances, they expressed their wishes for rain, sunlight, fertility, protection and forgiveness.

TheXVI and XVII centuries: court dance. In the age of Enlightenment, the way of thinking changed: now man became the center of the universe and could control his being with the help of arts and Sciences. It has become fashionable and popular dance, like ballet. By the end of the 16th century, the court ballet had flourished in the French Court. He became part of a luxurious, huge celebratory extravaganzas that lasted several days and included all kinds of entertainment.

TheXVIII and XIX centuries: from court dancing to Romanticism. By the early 18th century, the ballet had migrated from the French Court to the Paris Opera to the versatile theatrical figure Jean-Baptiste Lully, who "retained the basic concept of the ballet – the complexity of the form in which dance is an integral and significant element."

During this century the ballet spread through Europe and refined way of movement during a large view have become self-sufficient in the art of performance. There was a ballet with a plot. and a new law was established: «art should strive to imitate nature." The era of Romanticism of the early 19th century, with tickets dominated by emotions and fantasies, marked the beginning of this work on Pointe. Now is the perfect ballerina (the quality of which is then embodied in the legendary Marie Taglioni) in their shoes seemed to barely touch the surface of the scene.

Beginning of the twentieth century: from ballet to modern dance. At the beginning of the XX century there were traditional for us ballet costumes, choreography, scenery, props, in short, everything became almost as it is now.

Dance artists began to take into account the quality of the individual, expressiveness and emotionality. In this atmosphere there was a boom of modern dance. The twentieth century was definitely a time to break away from everything ballet relied on. This is a time of great creative growth of dancers and choreographers.

The end of the twentieth century: the development of modern dance. The sixties of the XX century marked the development of postmodernism, which changed the course of simplicity, the beauty of small things, simple movements. By the eighties, classical dance returned to the starting point, and modern dance has become some high-tech weapon professionals.

Today dance art is imbued with creative competition, and choreographers often seek to ensure that their work is called the most shocking. However, there is still beauty in the art, and the dance of modernity is amazing in such professionalism, strength and flexibility, which has never been until now.

Already by the eighties, classical dance returned to its former appearance, and modern dance (contemporary dance) became the dignity of professionals, highly technical and recognized art. These two forms of dance are there at the same time, almost competing, leaving between them only a small share of animosity. And today dance is an aesthetic form of leisure, which can rightly be called a very developed and "advanced". However, the dance never lost its beauty and ease and still admire strength, flexibility, professionalism, which was not hitherto. Ballets, discos, folk dances, classical dances, rap, pop, step and many other dances are very popular today and are in great demand.

All these areas today excite the interest of young people and call for dance classes — for their pleasure.

2.2. Variety of types and directions of dances in Berezniki.

In our hometown there is a huge number of both children's and adult dance groups, such as:

- Staff "School folk dance Svetlana Istomina»

Direction: folk dances (Mordovian, Slavic, Bashkir, Komi-Permyatskiy, etc.))

- Dance group " Jam»

Direction: Classical dance, modern jazz, dance show, hip-hop, MTV, RnB, pop dance.

- School Dance School-ballet in Berezniki

Direction: ballet.

- Dance ensemble " Assorted»

Direction: classical dance, folk style, modern dance (modern, jazz). Since this season, the team members learn a new direction of activity – hostess.

- Ballroom Dance Studio "Line dance".

Direction: Latin and European dances!

- Children's group, choreographic ensemble " Antre"

- Children's group, dance and sports club "Adele", and many others.

So it turns out that in our city dance groups use all areas of modern dance, but the greatest preference is still giving folk dances.

2.3. Variety of types and directions of dances in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg is a city in Canada, the main city of Manitoba.

This city is many times larger in size, and of course in such a large city there is a huge number of not only dance groups, as well as dance schools that use different directions in dance. Winnipeg is a multinational city, where Russians, Ukrainians, Germans, Indians and many other nationalities live, so each nation has its own national dance and few groups perform them.

The largest dance schools:

- Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet School

Direction: ballroom dancing.

- "Swing Dancing Winnipeg»

Direction: Lindy hop, Jive, Charleston, Balboa, shim-sham, big Apple and East coast!

For those who are interested in the swing dancing scene in Winnipeg! Lindy hop, jive, Charleston, balboa, shim-sham, big apple, and east-coast!

- Salsa Dance school

Direction: salsa.

- Dance School Marquis Dance Academy

Direction: ballet and all kinds of modern dances.

Thus, in Winnipeg dance groups and schools, use all directions of modern dance, but the greatest preference is still given to ballet.

3. Conclusion

Dance is the most ancient form of human expression. With the help of his body and the language of movements, a person not only presents himself to others, but also finds an inner connection with the world spiritual and emotional. Dance is an art for which neither a brush nor a pen is needed. His only instrument is the human body, in every movement of which dance lives. Dance is work, discipline, learning, the art of communication. The language of dance is universal, it has no boundaries and is clear to everyone.

Every year dance groups prepare for residents of our city colorful performances, gives a holiday for everyone, which involves all the dancers of the Studio: from the youngest to high school students.

In my work I tried to reveal the importance of such art as dance in the modern world. His role in the formation of man as a creative and diverse personality. By dancing, you open your heart. Dancing helps to keep fit. And how many can be meet new and interesting people. To have wonderful friends, who also live dancing.

In my work, I considered the history, types and styles of modern dance; conducted a comparative analysis of the dance trends of children's dance groups, on the example of G. Berezniki and Winnipeg.

Performed all the tasks:

Reviewed the history of dance.

Found out what kinds of dance there are.

Found out what kinds of dances are used by children's dance groups of Berezniki;

Found out what kinds of dances are used by children's dance groups in Winnipeg;

Summarized the results and drew conclusions.

My hypothesis has not been confirmed, as in our city most of the dance groups dance folk dances, and in Winnipeg prefer ballet and various types of modern dances.

Dance in my life is not just my favorite hobby, it is the school that helps me to become a person who, as the great Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov said: "everything in a person should be fine: face, clothes, soul, and thoughts!" I know that in my choreography I will grow up to be a cultured, educated, healthy and interesting person! And I know that dancing in my life will always be!

And finally. International dance day is a holiday dedicated to all dance styles, and this day is celebrated on April 29. This day was established on the initiative of the International Dance Council of UNESCO. So, April 29, throw all your daily chores and plunge headlong into the dance. No matter what it is, a fast hip-hop or slow waltz, a hot Rumba or a passionate tango. Just dance! Move your body to the beat of music, follow your wishes. And the rise of mood is guaranteed to you! No wonder Nietzsche said: "We should consider every day lost in which we have not danced at least once".

Irish dance.

Irish dance or Irish dancing is a group of traditional dance forms originating from Ireland, encompassing dancing both solo and in groups, and dancing for socialcompetitive and performance purposes. Irish dance in its current form developed from various influences such as French quadrilles and English country dancing throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Dance was taught by "travelling dance masters" across Ireland throughout this period, and separate dance forms developed according to regional practice and differing purposes. Irish dance became a significant part of Irish culture, particularly for Irish nationalist movements. From the early 20th century, a number of organizations promoted and codified the various forms of dance, creating competitive structures and standardized styles.

Solo Irish dance includes the most well-known form of Irish dance, Irish step dance, which was popularized from 1994 onwards by dance shows such as Riverdance, and which is practiced competitively across the Irish diaspora. Step dance is characterized by the rigid upper body and intricate footwork of its performers. Other forms of solo Irish dance include sean-nós dance, a relaxed and social dance style involving improvised steps, and festival Irish dance, a style which separated from step dance in the mid-20th century.

Irish dancing in groups is made up of a number of styles and traditions, which developed from French and English dances and formations. Ceili dance, practiced both competitively and socially, is performed by groups of two to sixteen people, and often uses traditional or codified dances and formations. Its footwork is simple, and emphasis is placed on the figures and formations of the dances. Set dance is primarily a social tradition, for groups of four dancers, and includes elements of the intricate footwork found in step dance.

Belly dance.

Women's dance, which has great therapeutic benefits. Recently - endemic world craze.

The birthplace of the dance is considered to be Ancient Egypt. According to another version, belly dance - Indian or Gypsy origin. Modified it was present in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Iraq. Thanks to its usefulness, it has also spread to Europe.

Belly dance is a set of isolated muscle movements. Belly dance is a recognized remedy for the treatment and prevention of cellulite.

Capoeira.

The art of dance and combat, which are combined into one and exist in the musical world of African rhythms.

The history of capoeira is obscure. There are many hypotheses about where capoeira came from. The most logical version: The Portuguese exported from Africa (Angola, Mozambique, Congo) to Brazil slaves who created it. It is believed that the fugitive slaves invented capoeira to protect their settlements, "quilombos". It is believed that capoeira was not invented by runaway, and the ones that escape was not possible, but who also wanted that the oppressors did not suspect they concealed under martial art dance. Then, for a long time, capoeira was identified with theft, murder and robbery: this was due to its popularity among the urban vagrants of Brazil. And, although it was not the art of the dance-fight that resembled capoeira was banned. By the twentieth years of the twentieth century capoeira "went underground" and it became like a dance. In the thirtieth year, there was a military revolution that changed the cultural situation, and in the thirty-second opened the first official school of capoeira. Since then, she began to be fruitful and multiply in Brazil and around the world.

Capoeira called their occupation of the game. Participants of the game form a circle ("genus", that is, the sun), play musical instruments and sing. In the center of the giving birth are two improvising dancers. Their dancing looks as smooth thread movements, among which racks on the hands of, anybody, "wheels", prefer. Physical contact between the dancers, as a rule, no punches non-traditional (hands are used for support and protection), legs are often at the top, over the body. Members of the circle taking turns dancing. With the acceleration of music dance, becoming more dynamic, develops to climax.

If you do not take into account the combat component, capoeira can be considered a bright kind of modern dance. Many of its movements borrowed lower break.

The dance break.

Born in New York city in 1969 under the name "Good Foot", when James brown showed the public his famous dance "Get on the Good Foot". Break dance is a spectacular dance part of hip-hop movement. Translated from English – broken dance. It is divided into Bottom (bottom, break) and Top (top). The first is very traumatic and requires good physical training. Includes complex acrobatic elements: rotation on the head, jumping on the hands with a change of support, turns on the hands or on one hand 360, 720 or more degrees, rotation of the legs around your body with support on the hands, etc. The second requires more advanced plastics and artistry – for example, waving simulates waves passing through the body and its individual parts, and in such a style as king tut between the body and the hands, shoulder and forearm, forearm and wrist permitted only right angles.

Flamenco.

After hearing a distinctive, rhythmic sounds of the Spanish guitar, in our imagination immediately draws vivid images of the temperamental men in wide-brimmed hats-sombrero, and less temperamental women in colorful dresses and with a scarlet flower in her hair – this flamenco (Flamenco)! Although each province of Spain has its own style of folk dance, but the symbol of Sunny Spain was flamenco. In fact, flamenco – is not only and not so much dance (Baile), its indispensable attributes are the accompaniment of the Spanish six-string guitar (toke) and solo singing (Kante).

Flamenco as a kind of national art originated several centuries ago in Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain. In the future, its development was influenced by the cultures of different peoples who lived at different times in the territory of Andalusia: Arab, Christian, Roma, and even Jewish. The Roma had a special influence on flamenco, bringing a mixture of different cultures to Andalusia. Here and dresses with wide, colorful skirts and flounced from the Andalusian dancers.

The technique of this dance is difficult, mainly because of the complex rhythm tunes that defy recording the score sheet – they are passed from master to qualified disciple. In time with the guitar, there is a clear beating of the rhythm of the heels, the so – called zapateado. Special attention in the dance is drawn to the hands: it is the language of flamenco. The hand movements of a dancer are always flowing, expressive, fingers draw in the air patterns similar to the opening and closing of a fan. The dancer's hands cut through the air, as when driving swords always clear motion.

Latina.

Incendiary club dance, synthesized from a variety of folk Latin American and standardized ballroom European dances.

Latina – fashion modern dance club audience. It is adapted to popular youth music. It includes the most vivid movements of the Cuban Rumba, funny slopes of the Samba, the famous rhythm of «cha cha cha» and other elements of popular South American dances. In addition, the Latin includes the movement of the Spanish Paso Double dance, imitating the bullfight. There is in her swing and gaiety of superfast American Jive.

Rock-n-roll.

Rock-n-roll (Rock-N-Roll) is a fast dance, which is characterized by free uninhibited movement. Also rock'n'roll-is also the music that appeared in the late 50s of the last century in the United States and became the ancestor of modern rock music. At the same time with music came dance and rock-n-roll. The founders of this dance and musical style can rightly be considered such legendary singers and musicians as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, the group "rolling stones".

For the first time music in the style of rock-n-roll began to play black Americans, but over time it began to be interested more and more young white people. Rock'n'roll has become a kind of rhythm and Blues. At first, this kind of music and dance were not accepted by the public, even met her with hostility. Rock-n-roll was perceived as a Communist plot.

This dance and music were considered characteristic of the black population of the States. But in the 50s of the last century attitudes towards blacks began to change all over the world thanks to their struggle for social rights. The music of the African-American population began to flood the consumer market. White performers had only to master this new music and dance.

Disco.

Disco! One of the short and vivid words breathes eternal summer, an unforgettable, sweet as love and the intoxicating sense of freedom when I do not want to think about anything but dance, dance... Disco (Disco) dance of a whole generation of people around the world, whose youth fell on the end of the 70-ies – 80-ies.

Officially considered the year of birth of this dance in 1974, it was then that he appeared in clubs in New York. Soon, the whole of America, and then later Europe was struck by the Disco boom. He came to our country, and the Soviet Union conquered disco from the West and from the East – the famous Indian film "disco Dancer" became a cult in the country. A phrase of their songs sounded: "Ah uh uh disco Dancer", "And ja and ja..." - and now I remember and I know millions of people of all ages.

The roots of this style of music rooted in the funk and soul of black neighborhoods of America. Its main characteristic feature-a uniform rhythm of "four shares", moreover, the emphasis falls on each. Dance rhythm has a frequency of 120 beats per minute (with an average human pulse of 70 beats, this rhythm is almost twice it).

Ballroom dancing.

Ballroom dancing (ballroom dance) is a beautiful art form in which the emotionally – shaped content of music is transmitted through the plastic movements of the couple by rhythmically clear changes in the body and creating artistic various images. The history of ballroom dancing goes deep into the past. For centuries people's lives, their way of life, customs changed.

For each of the people has always been inherent in their traditions and their dances. Over time, life changed, and the fashion for ballroom dancing changed – something new appeared in movements or costumes, there were some completely new directions of performance. But unchanged for many centuries remains one thing-ballroom dancing dance in paired a man and woman. During the performance of ballroom compositions physical contact between the partner and the partner is maintained throughout the performance.

Ballroom dancing, in the form in which we see them now, originated in England in the late 18th – early 19th centuries. At that time, they were the privilege of only the people of the upper world. Ballroom dancing was considered an integral part of all high-society entertainment. Without the presence of swirling in the rhythm of dance beautiful couples, not do any ball. Only by the beginning of the 20th century ballroom dancing gained its popularity among the population of the lower strata of society. But ordinary and poor people never had the opportunity to attend the balls, sewing for expensive Quinceanera dresses. Ordinary people at that time visited the public dance halls, where they could enjoy the beautiful music and enjoy the inviting sounds of waltz.

In the 20-ies of the last century, they began to organize in ballroom dancing competitions. In this same period all in the same of England was created the first in history school ballroom dances. The main purpose of this school was to develop basic movements of a dance, of a certain music to them. From a set of dances those which are the most expressive from the point of view of creation of a unique artistic image were selected.

All ballroom dances are divided into 2 main groups: European – standard, and Latin – Latin. European dances are characterized by close contact between a man and a woman, which is maintained in the continuation of the whole dance performance with the help of a certain position of the hands and body. The Latin American dance group is characterized by freer contact. It is enhanced only occasionally by special supports or certain movements. In most of the latina contact is carried out only through the connection of the partner's hands and partner. Sometimes partners can do to move away from each other, as if dancing apart.

Waltz.

How and where did the dance a waltz is not precisely determined, but certainly his ancestors are the dances of the peoples of Europe in the middle of the XVIII century.

According to one data, the ancestor of the waltz was the folk dance "Volta" from Italy, according to other sources, the ancestor of the waltz is the Austrian dance "Landler", which is inherent in the circular rotation of partners in pairs.

By the end of the eighteenth century the dance was adopted by high society. In the United States, the waltz was performed for the first time in Boston in 1834. The performer dances Lorenzo Papanti, performed a waltz in the mansion of Beacon Hill. Public leaders were stunned by what they later called "incorrect representation."

In Russia, at the court, the waltz, too, at first did not approve of neither Catherine nor Paul I. the Emperor Paul issued a special decree in which it was forbidden to dance the waltz. Especially very much loved waltz his wife, Empress Maria Feodorovna, and even her sons Alexander I and Nicholas I did not dare to contradict mother. Only after the death of Maria Fyodorovna in 1830 it became possible to perform a waltz at court balls.

Today, both of these areas are very popular. They are gladly performed by dancers around the world at Championships and tournaments of all levels.
