Развитие языковой компетентности учащихся по теме «Путешествие» .

Цель урока:

Развитие языковой компетентности учащихся по теме «Путешествие»

Задачи:

практические - активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по теме «Путешествие»; учить логически строить высказывание на основе прочитанной и переработанной информации.

развивающие – развивать кругозор учащихся, творческие навыки;

воспитательные – создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся, развитие навыков к сотрудничеству;

образовательные – совершенствовать фонетические и лексические навыки, расширить словарный запас, активизировать знакомую лексику в речевых ситуациях, создать условия для спонтанной речи.

Оборудование и раздаточные материалы:проектор, экран, ноутбук, карточки с заданиями.

Тип урока: знакомство с новым материалом.

Do you like travelling? How often do you travel? How do you choose where to go?

Look at the board, please. There are a few pictures. What can you see in the pictures? Can you guess what we are going to speak about today?

You are right, we are speaking about travelling and traditional activities in different countries.

As for me, I like travelling. But I travel not often once a year to the sea.

In the pictures I can see different places for holidays perhaps. I guess we will speak about what people could do in such places and if it’s interesting for us.

3. Pre-reading task. Discussion of the illustrations to the texts (3 min)

Now you are going to listen to the music. I would like you to tell me which of 4 places you are at; what you are doing there; how you feel.

The music is dynamic that’s why I may be sledding in Russia.

Well done. I believe you are quite interested in these sites. Thus, let’s learn some more details about each of them. Open, please, pages 90-91 in your course books and look at exercise 2.

Why don’t we learn more about peculiarities of holiday in Siberia? Read text A and answer the questions on the screen. The given task is multiple choice that’s why you have to choose from 4 possible options.

Good job. Thank you. Now you are going to another place and try to realize why Morocco is attractive. Read text B, in order to make your own question on the text. Work in pairs, make up a question for your neighbor and answer his.

3.If you go to Wyoming , you can find yourself in the Wild West. Do you know why? Then, let’s read text C. And answer the questions: What is this short text about? Is wagon travelling popular among holidaymakers? Why?

4.Now let’s discuss a real challenging activity- ice diving. Read text D we and decide which statements are True or false according to the text. The task is given on the screen.

4.In pairs please decide which place you would visit next summer and give arguments why this this site would be the best choice ever for you and for you partner. You have 3 minutes to complete this task. Use the expressions from the card (Прил.3)
