“Good boys and good girls” «Умникииумницы»

Цели урока:

Практические – формирование грамматических, лексических и фонетических навыков; развитие умений чтения, аудирования, монологической и диалогической речи.

Образовательные – активизация лексических навыков по темам: «Описание личности человека», «Характер», «Дом»; научить учащихся пользоваться полученными лексическими навыками в устной речи.

Воспитательные – воспитание у обучающихся хороших манер, дисциплинированности, толерантности и уважительного отношения друг к другу.

Развивающие – развитие памяти, скорости реакции, распределенного внимания, способности сравнивать, анализировать и выбирать правильный вариант; развитие мыслительной и эмоциональной сфер личности; развитие интереса к изучению иностранного языка; развитие лингвистической догадки и логического мышления; развитие творческих способностей учащихся.

Задачи урока:

1Развитие фонетических навыков и фонематического слуха.

2Развитие навыков диалогической и монологической речи.

3Закрепление лексического материала по темам: «Описание личности человека», «Характер», «Дом».

Ход мероприятия

Teacher:Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to our quiz show “Good boys and good girls”. Our lesson today is devoted to different themes: “Appearance”, “Character”, “Home”. Today we have two teams: the team “….” and the team “…”. Today we’ll see which team knows more about these topics. Let me introduce you our jury(Представлениежюри). On the blackboard you can see a score table. Here we will write down the results of each task. Our competition consists of three sectors: the yellow sector “Appearance”, the green sector “Character” and the red sector “Home”. There are different tasks for the teams in each sector. You are to choose a sector and you will see the appropriate task in it. Now let’s start! (3 минуты)

Учитель приветствует учащихся и жюри. Объявляет о начале проведения викторины «Умники и умницы» по темам: «Внешность», «Характер», «Дом». Сообщает учащимся о том, что соревнование состоит из трех секторов: желтого, зеленого и красного и учащиеся должны будут выбирать определенный сектор, в котором имеются задания для каждой из команд. Учащиеся делятся на две команды, выбирают капитана команды. В течение игры после каждого выполненного задания учитель просит жюри объявлять результаты и записывает их в таблицу. Результаты оцениваются по пятибалльной системе.

Teacher:Now let’s start. Let’s start with the yellow sector. Here we have two tasks. The first task: “The rules of describing a person”. You should think about the order of describing people. In other words you should write down a plan of describing a person. You have 3-4 minutes. Is the task clear for you?

Teacher:The maximum for this task is 5 points. Let’s listen to our jury’s comments.

Let’s continue. The next task is “Who is this mystery man?” Well, now we know the right order of describing a person. On the blackboard you see the pictures of different people. I’ll read the descriptions of these people and you should match the description and the picture. If the team is not right, the other team will have the right to get one more point. You’ll have five points for each right answer. Please, take turns. (6 минут)

На доске высвечиваются фотографии с разными людьми. Учитель читает описания фотографий, учащиеся внимательно слушают и пытаются догадаться, к какой фотографии подходит данное описание. Команды отвечают по очереди. Если одна из команд отвечает неправильно, право ответа переходит к другой команде. За каждый правильный ответ команда получает пять баллов.

But when we speak about a person we describe not only his or her appearance but also the character. Each team will receive some cards with words describing the character of a person. In these cards you will also find the meanings of the words in English. You should read the words and the meanings and find the Russian equivalents of these words. Youhave 7 minutesforthistask.

Каждая команда получает по десять слов с описанием значения на английском языке, читает их и находит русские эквиваленты. На данное задание учащимся дается 7 минут. Затем представитель от команды зачитывает данные слова и их значения, а также их русские эквиваленты. За каждый правильный ответ команда получает один бал.

Aggressive: This adjective describes someone who uses a lot of mental and physical energy when doing something. (Агрессивный)

Wise: This adjective describes a clever person who knows a lot. (Мудрый)

Ambitious: This adjective describes someone who wants to be a successful and works hard. (Честолюбивый,амбициозный)

Violent: This adjective describes someone who uses violence. (Жестокий,ожесточенный)

Arrogant:This adjective describes someone who behaves in a way that he or she feels more important or better than other people. (Высокомерный,надменный)

Sensitive:This adjective describes someone who feels upset, etc. easily because of what someone says. (Чувствительный, ранимый)

Brave: This adjective describes someone who is willing to suffer, have pain and etc. Example. She was brave before her operation. (Храбрый,смелый)

Romantic: This adjective describes a way of behaving, writing, etc. to show love. (Романтичный,романтический)

Calm: this adjective describes someone who is: 1) balanced and confident; 2) not afraid or upset. (Спокойный)

Proud: This adjective describes someone who feels pleased because he/she has done something well. (Гордый, горделивый)

The second team:

Cruel: This adjective describes someone, an action, etc. that makes another person feel pain, unhappy, etc. (Жестокий)

Mean: This adjective describes someone who is unkind because he/she unwilling to spend money or give people something. (Скупой)

Decisive: This adjective describes someone who can make good decision quickly.(Решительный)

Kind: This adjective describes someone who is pleasant and helpful.(Добрый)

Dishonest: This adjective describes someone who often tells lies, steals things, etc. (Нечестный)

Intelligent: This adjective describes someone who is quick in the uptake, solves problems quickly, etc. (Умный,сообразительный)

Evil: This adjective describes someone who is very bad or cruel. (Злой)

Honest: This adjective describes someone who tells the truth and does not steal. (Честный)

Generous: This adjective describes someone who is kind and not greedy, who can give money or something else to others. (Щедрый,благородный)

Hardworking: This adjective describes someone who studies, works, etc. a lot.(Трудолюбивый)
