LESSON PLAN № 1
Leasure Activities.
Date: April 11, 2011
Group characteristics:14 students, 3d form, mixed ability;
The students have been studying English for 3 years.
Level: beginners.
Characteristics of the occasion: 3d lesson, the 4th term , preceding lesson - Leasure Activities.
Aim of the lesson: by the end of the lesson the students will be able to listen & tick the chart about children’s leasure activities & make up their own sentences with “going to”, according to the example, given in the chart.
Equipment:class CD, flashcards, pictures.
New vocabulary and structures: jungle, shout, fall,strong.
New expression: Don’t worry.

Failure: 5 students make mistakes while asking & answering the questions, many of them omitt the verb “to be”. Achievement: 10 students made no mistakes. Achievement:11 students ticked the chart without any mistakes. Failure:2 students failed to understand the text. Achievement:7 students made no mistakes; 2- 2 mistakes, 1 student failed. |

Reflection 1.
On the whole, the children achieved their learning aims. The activities at the lesson were interesting for students, they worked easily . However, not all of them were able to make up correct sentences with “going to”... so, it’s necessary to work on this item more & more.10 of the students were able to listen & tick the chart correctly, 3 of them were able to do only half of the task, 1 student failed. So, next time I should pay more attention to warming up ( question- answer (with the structure) before Listening.

Reflection 2: The plan of the lesson was aimed at developing listening skills This time the tasks were a bit changed & more attention was paid to practising the structure “going to” in more sentences so that the children could be able to memorise as more actions as possible. In pre-listening tasks the students were revising the actions and use it in the sentences of their own. During while-listening stage the students were practicing skills for listening for gist and detailed information, in post listening stage they were supposed to write what the children were going to do this weekend using the given information.. The students were able to do the tasks well. The students found the lesson interesting and useful.The results of Auding were much better in this group. There were no failures.So, the learning aims were achieved.
