Learning foreign languages is important nowadays. I think that any educated person should learn foreign languages. And I prefer English to other foreign languages. Why? English is becoming a global language on Earth. A half of billion people in the world use it at home or at work. English is the language which is known by the major part of our fine, magnificent and surprising world. English is so widespread that it has become the standard language for all kinds of international communication.
In the world of international business one can’t avoid without knowing profound English. If a businessman doesn’t speak English fluently he can’t be involved into active international communication – so he won’t be able to decide anything important at his work. Any urgent problem can’t be solved by him without speaking the same language as his partner does. If you want to be successful at your job as a businessperson - you have to learn English, an important means of international communication. Every year thousands of people from Russia go to different countries to work. They can’t do without knowing the language of the country they are going to. A modern businessman cannot work with foreigners without acquiring a certain level of it. That’s why he has to learn English to be good at work, to travel abroad either on business or for pleasure
Now in Russia there are a lot of international companies which invite those who know oral and written English thoroughly. It’s also necessary not only for business staff but also for every qualified worker. The necessity of using English is an assentional thing for different kinds of international activity, beginning with private business and finishing the whole spheres of economy in different countries. There are lots of various programs for joined improving English courses among all the workers at their company. I think it is not enough. First of all, English should be studied from his childhood and the learners must be involved into English-speaking language atmosphere to practice it as much as possible. Secondly, acquiring any foreign language needs a lot of energy, time, efforts and language skills. At last, a good professional supervisor is a must. If these ends meet you are to be a success. Good memory and great wish will help you to speak fluently, to understand native speakers or your business partners all over the world. Everything is important in business talk – the ability to speak, your pronunciation, your intonation, the knowledge of language skills. Even if you have an acceptable grasp of the English language, with good grammar and a broad vocabulary, native English speakers may find you very difficult to communicate to if you don't work on your pronunciation because it is actually very important for them. Correct, clear pronunciation is essential if you really want to improve your level of English and master it for your future. Pay particular attention to any sounds that you are connected with or that do not exist in your native tongue. For example, Russians have difficulty pronouncing the “th” sound, as it does not exist in their native language. Remember that the pronunciation of certain English wordsvaries depending on the part of the world it's spoken in. For example, American English differs greatly from British English.

The knowledge of English is a great power. I need to know English. I must appreciate and embrace this knowledge as the key to achievement of my dream. I hope my progress in English will be very good.

Another reason for studying English is that it might be useful in future employment. Perhaps, but these days, even students who speak English very well have difficulty finding jobs in which they can use their English. Let's face it. Most people seldom have a chance to use English at work. Some employers want to hire people with good English ability, and some employees will have chances to work abroad and speak English, and so studying English is not a bad career investment. Nevertheless, it is hardly a reason for making every university student, even those with modest career ambitions. They continue to study English after the university too. There are the reasons why English is a compulsory subject at university.

For a student of the Economical Faculty and for a future manager it is necessary to improve English language skills for further work because one can find the most prestige job or lead successful business. What could be recommended for future businessmen who are aimed at using English at their work?

First of all, they have to know basis English. They can acquire the main grammatical or vocabulary things which are needed to know for common English speech. That is why; try to spend as much time as you can on learning the most frequently used topics for discussion. The best variant for being improved at your English is a nice teacher with good pronunciation and besides, you are to develop your vocabulary daily. When you understand that you can speak something independently try to find the native speaker to improve your oral speech then. And only when you become sure of your knowledge of English, get involve into business talks without thinking whether it is good or bad. Your partners will help you only when they see your attempts to speak fluently.

Secondly, the main words for business communication are the ones that are the same for all kinds of managing. It covers all spheres of business negotiations, documents, oral speech, the types of business letter writing and what’s not. And besides, there is one thing you can’t lead your business is good positive vocabulary with correct grammar.  These are main key words and word combinations which are suitable for this or that kind of talks or negotiations, for signing the contracts, taking part in the conferences. A lot depends on the right words with the help of which you’ll describe the situation, your idea in making decision. Besides, a good businessman has to be in the know of everything he or she would like to speak or discuss together with your business partners. The world of business is so wide and unbelievably different that you have to be ready to give the suitable information, react very quickly that you can’t do without nice business English.

Thirdly, English must be special for a certain sphere of option. Take, for example, food business or a restaurant matter. What should you know about it? Everything: the names of the food, the list of menus and what not. You should explain your partner in details what do you want, when, what kind, what sort or what country do you want to take it from.

So, English is at your disposal. It depends on you whether your work will be successful or not. The main idea of my article is it’s high time to improve your English and to learn as much as possible to be the top at your job. Be active and you achieve your goal! Good luck to you!
