Тема: Виртуальная экскурсия по Крыму

Цель:

учебная – познакомить обучающихся с дворцами и парками г. Ялты, научить обучающихся воспринимать на слух и адаптировать тексты на английском языке, отработать экспрессивные и рецептивные грамматические навыки;

развивающая –развивать у обучающихся процессы мышления и памяти, познавательный интерес к истории родного края, расширять кругозор страноведческих сведений;

воспитательная - воспитывать чувство дружбы и товарищества, культуры поведения, инициативности и ответственности каждого обучающегося перед своими товарищами, прививать любовь к истории родного края.

Задачи:

1.Способствовать повышению мотивации при изучении английского языка.

2. Формировать мыслительные операции.

3. Развивать навыки аудирования и говорения.

4.Осуществлять межпредметные связи посредством английского языка и истории.
5.Формировать положительные эмоций обучающихся, чувство успеха и уважения к культуре и народу своей страны, своего города.

We'd like to tell about two sisters, the first sister's name is Anne and her younger sister is Marry. They have been living in New Zealand, all their life. Anne is 22 years old. She's got big brown eyes, a thin straight nose, small ears and a wide forehead. Really, Anne is a purposeful, well-mannered girl. Anne is not married, she works in an advertising agency. In her free time she likes to go to the theater and cinema. She is interested in arts.

Marry is 32 years old and she is tall and slim, with dark eyes and black hair. She speaks little and she is good-hearted and has got a good sense of humour and Marry knows a lot of funny stories and she always tells them. She is married and has a family of her own. She works as an accountant for a joint stock company. They have got twins: a daughter and a son.

New Zealand is an island country in the Southwest Pacific Ocean. It lies about 1600 km southeast of Australia and about 10 500 km southwest of California. New Zealand belongs to a large island group called Polynesia. The country is situated on two main islands — the North Island and the South Island — and several dozen smaller islands. Most of the smaller islands are hundreds of kilometers from the main ones.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and Auckland is the largest city. English is the official language of New Zealand and is spoken throughout the country. Many native people speak their own language» Maori, in addition to English.

Marry and Anne have wanted to go somewhere, to learn the world for a long time. There came the moment when they prepared for the journey.

Visiting a travel agency was the first thing they made for the further trip.

Надежда: We have 2 or 3 days.

Элина: Ok. What city do you want to visit firstly?

Елизавета: We are open to suggestions at this point. How about the southern coast of Crimea ? What are the most exciting places would you recommend?

Элина:Let me see… Ok, let’s start with the southern coast. I think Yalta would be perfect. You can spend there two wonderful days. Some of the attractions are Vorontsov Palace, Massandra, Livadia Palace, Gaspra, and I wish you to visit Sevastopol.

Надежда: Sounds good, and where do we stay?

Элина:You can book a room at The Hotel Complex Yalta-Intourist. It is located in the centre of the city. It has three stars. The hotel is within walking distance of Massandra Park, Nikitsky Botanical Gardens, just 5 km away. The hotel has 1186 rooms.

Елизавета: Well, that’s great.

Элина:Would you like to book the tickets then?

Надежда: Certainly! Do you accept credit card?

Элина:Yes, we do. Thank you for choosing us. I will inform you about details of the journey as soon as possible.

- Now our guests go to the airport. Before boarding the plane they must check in at the airport.

Guest: No, I don't have a computer. I have a hair dryer and a mobile phone, but nothing else.

Guest: Here you are.

БугаеваСаша : How many bags are you checking in today?

Guest: Two.

БугаеваСаша : A window seat and an aisle seat or seats in the centre?

Your plane leaves from Gate 41B at 11:15 am. Boarding starts half an hour before. Have a nice flight.

Passenger: Hi, here you are.

ОляДуброва: This way, please. Your seat is over there — third row on the right.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. Please put your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead locker. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure yourseat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.

- And now it is the time for the first excursion. During their first day in Yalta our guests want to see the Vorontsov Palace and Massandra.

Vorontsov Palace ( Элина Ли) is located in the middle of the picturesque area at the foot of Ai-Petri Mount in the city of Alupka.

The Vorontsov Palace is one of the oldest and largest palaces in Crimea and one of the most popular tourist attractions on Crimea's southern coast.

The palace was built from 1828 to 1848 years as a summer residence of a prominent Russian statesman, Count Mikhail Vorontsov, for use as his personal summer residence.

The palace was designed by the English architect Edward Blore and his assistant William Hunt. Blore had designed many buildings in the United Kingdom, for example Buckingham Palace in London.

Vorontsov Palace was built in the spirit of English architecture, and there are elements in the building of different eras, from the early forms and ending XVI century. Among those styles are elements of Scottish Baronial, Mughal architecture, and Gothic Revival architecture. West meets East here. The stone was mined locally as part of a conscious effort to blend the building with its mountainous surroundings.

An important feature of the Vorontsov Palace is the adjoining park ensemble, which features 40 hectares of greenery and forestry created by a talented German gardener-botanist Carl Antonovich Keebach.

Massandra Palace(ДуброваОля) - a magnificent monument of architecture of XIX century. Its construction began in 1881 at the expense of the prince S. Vorontsov, after whose death the work was stopped. 

In 1889 Massandra became the EmperorAlexander III, who commissioned Academician ME Messmacher to complete the construction and design the interior of the palace. However, the work was finished only in 1902, after the death of the emperor. 

The final version of the palace acquired the character of early Baroque architecture - the style of Louis XIII. In the decorative elements of interior decoration used a variety of styles - Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Rococo, Classicism.

Messmacher makes the building even more expressive, he changed the color of the palace: the gray walls covered with yellow metlahskoy tiles. On balconies and terraces of the palace and in the park he established decorative vases and sculptures depicting Greek gods, sphinxes, chimeras, satyrs.

The palace was designed for relaxation, so there are no apartments for receptions and ceremonial halls. Living rooms miniature, with low ceilings and cozy fireplace from the Crimean marble-like limestone.

After the October Revolution until 1941 Massandra palace was used as a sanatorium, and after the war as a state dacha. 
In 1992 the palace was opened museum exhibition devoted to the era of Alexander III: Here you can see the palatial interiors of the second half of the nineteenth century, everyday objects and works of art. 

Massandra park - one of the most quiet and cozy parks of the Crimean Southern Coast. It was founded in the first half of the XIX century, when the noble family belonged to Muscat Naryshkin.In the 40s of the XIX century, the Count Mikhail Vorontsov engaged in the well-known Crimean gardener Carl Kebah. Today the park open to public access.

- Their second day is marked with their visit to the Livadia Palace and Gaspra, the visiting card of Crimea.

Gaspra ( ВелулаеваУсние)health resort is a small settlement located to the south coast of Crimea. It lies near Yalta resort , there are many sanatoriums and hotels in Gaspra . You will find everything for your health in Gaspra.

Gaspra is a famous and popular place and also has its own pearl . It's a Swallow's nest, one of the most popular visitor attractions in Crimea, and it is the symbol of Crimea's southern coastline.

Swallow's nest is a decorative medieval castle located near Yalta health resort to the southern part of Crimea. IT was built between 1911 to 1912 years in a Neo-Gothic design by the Russian architect Leonid Sherwood for the Baltic German oil millionaire Baron von Steingel.

It is located on a top of the rock with an altitude of 40 metres . The interior of the guest room is decorated with the wooden panels . There was a restaurant into the Swallow's nest recently. Inside of the Swallow's nest castle, you will find two levels with a foyer also there are two bedrooms and the guest room.

As soon as you had got to the Swallow's Nest, you had to pay for a ticket before you entered into the grounds and you could walk around this castle and look at all charms of this place .

But now it's forbidden to go around this castle and nobody knows, when it will be open . This rock begins to have some destructions . You can stand only on the ground in front of this castle.

Of course it would be better to have a camera to create beautiful photos of this famous place.

- Our guests are so charmed with the beauty of the Swallow's nest and they want to have some sovenirs with Crimean scenes.

Livadia Palace(КуролапНастя) – a unique jewel of the southern coast of Crimea. Place, inspiring poets, painters, composers. A place which attracts travelers from all over the world.

At various times, the palace was regularly visited by politicians and cultural figures of different countries. Livadia Palace is a place which the fate had chosen for turning points of history.

Livadia Palace is located on the Black sea, in the village of Livadia, in Yalta region of Crimea in 3 km from Yalta.

The Livadia Palace is built of white Crimean granite in the Neo-Renaissance style in the late XIX century under the guidance of Monigetti and Krasnov.

In 1834, Livadia was purchased by count Potocki. In the estate Potocki, was built the manor house, greenhouses, and also it is built in a landscaped Park.

Since 1861 the Livadia estate became a summer residence of Emperor Alexander II and the Imperial family. In 1894, in Livadia, Alexander III died.

In 1911, by architect Nikolai Krasnov for the Emperor Nicholas II was built by new White Palace.
The Grand Palace was demolished in 1910 (in its place was built a White Palace), and the Small Palace was destroyed during the Second world war.

Livadia Palace was a summer retreat of the last Russian tsar, Nicholas II, and his family in Livadiya, Crimea. The Yalta Conference was held there in 1945, when the palace housed the apartments of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and other members of the American delegation. Today the palace houses a museum, but it is sometimes used for international summits.

The palace contains 116 rooms, with interiors furnished in different styles. There are a Pompeian vestibule, an English billiard-room, a Neo-baroque dining room, and a Jacob-style study of maple wood, which elicited particular admiration of Nicholas II.
