Storyteller 3: Once upon a time, when all animals were still friends there lived a hare and a fox. A hare was a cheerfull, active and hardworking character.
It was summer. The weather was wonderful. The sun was shining brightly in the blue sky. The soft wind was blowing. All days long the fox played, sang and danced. She was thin and handsome, but she was very lasy and cunning.
But, one summer day the hare noticed that the weather became cloudy and cool.
Autumn has come. The days became shorter and shorter.
Hare: You see, Fox, autumn is coming. Rain and cold wind will be here soon.
Fox: You are not right. Summer is long .I will sing and dance. Go away. I do not want to hear you.
Hare: But listen to me, Fox, winter will come after autumn. Snow will be falling, wind will be blowing. It will be cold and snowy.
Fox: So, what are you going to do?
Hare: I am going to build a good house and I advise you to do the same.
Fox: Do not worry. When winter comes I will build a house of ice.
Storyteller 3: So they did. The hare built a house of wood and the fox built a house of ice.
( Music. They are building their houses. )
Clap, clap, clap your hands
Clap your hands together.
Dance, dance, dance about,
Dance about together.
Build, build, build our houses,
Our houses together.
Storyteller 2: All winter long the neighbours lived peacefully. The hare`s house was strong and warm.
As for the fox she did not think at all what would be with your house of ice in spring .
Soonspring came. What a beautiful spring it was! The sun was shining!
The flowers were blooming, the butterflies were flying joyfully!
It was so warm. The fox`s house began to melt.
( Music. Spring is coming. )
And one day it disappeared at all. The fox did not know what to do.
She made a fool of herself.
As for the hare, he was happy .His little house was in order.
The fox did not know where to live, where to sleep. She was very sad. Then she had an idea.
Storyteller 1: She asked the hare the permission to spend only one night in his house. Poor little hare, he was so kind! And he allowed the poor Mrs. Fox to sleep in his house. He was a true friend.
Fox: Dear, hare, let me live in your beautiful house for a while because I have no house. My house has melted...I am so unhappy!
Hare: Okay, my dear neighbour my friend, come in and make yourself comfortable.
Storyteller 1: What a pity! The hare was so kind! But soon the Fox threw him out of his house .Why did not he believe his mother? She always asked him to be very careful with foxes. They were so cunning.
The Fox was not only sly, she was a cruel person. She went away the poor hare from his house.
It was so terrible! Now he was homeless! The hare was walking through the woods crying.
(Sad music )
Storyteller 3: And suddenly he met a dog. The dog was brave and helpful . And he was very self- confident.
Dog: Why are you crying, my little poor friend? What has happened? I`ll try to help you. Don’t forget we all are friends.”
Hare: Oh, doggy! How can I stop crying?! The fox, my friend, threw me out of my own house. I`m so unhappy!
Dog: Do not cry, my friend anymore. Do not worry. I will help you! Come on!
Come on!
Storyteller 1: So they went. The dog was sure he would help his friend. Soon they saw hare’s house. The fox was still in bed.
Dog: Hey, Fox! Get out of the hare's house! It is not your house.
Storyteller 3: When she heard the noise she ran to the door and cried.
Fox: Hey Dog, I will not. Just you wait. I’ll jump down, I’ll tear you into pieces! Go away or I will tear up your fur!
Storyteller 3: Mr. Dog got white with fear. He forgot about his friend and ran so quickly as he could. In reality he was a simply coward.
The poor little hare stayed alone again.
The hare was walking through the woods. He went on and on crying.
(sad music)
Storyteller2: Suddenly he saw a bear. Mr. Bear was strong and big. He looked out as a real giant.
Bear:Why are you crying so bitterly, my friend? What is the trouble? Why are you so sad? Can I help you? Don’t forget we all are friends.
Hare:Oh, Bear! How can I stop crying? The fox, my friend, threw me out of my own house. I’m so unhappy!
Bear: Stop crying, hare. Stop crying, my friend. Let's go to your house. I will help you! I am your true friend. Do not forget about it. Believe me! Come on! Come on!
Storyteller 2:So the friends run to thehare’s house.
Bear: Hey, Fox! Get out of the hare's house! It is not your house. It is unfair to live in it. It isn’t your property.
Fox:Oh,Bear! I will not. Go away or I will tear up your fur into pieces. I am so angry with you! Go away immediately, either I eat you!
Storyteller 2:TheBear was very frightened. He didn’t look at his poor little friend and ran away. In reality he was a simply boaster.
The poor little stayed again alone and nobody could help him. He went along the road crying even more.
(sad music)
Storyteller 1:He cried so loudly, that the Rooster stopped working and ran to the hare.
The hare lost last hope when he met a rooster.
Rooster: Hey, hare! Why are you crying my friend? What is the trouble? How can I help you?
Hare: Oh, Rooster! I have no house! I am homeless now .The fox threw me out of my house!
Rooster: I will help you, my friend!
Hare:Oh, Rooster! How can you? It`s impossible. The bear and the dog tried to help me, but the Fox didn't go away.
Rooster:You see, my friend, I have a scythe over my shoulder. Look at it! It is so sharp! I will help you! Let's go!
Storyteller 1:So they went.
Rooster:Hey, Fox! I have a scythe! Get out of the hare's house or I will cut you! I am so angry with you. It is not your house. You are a real thief! I will kill you ! Go away!
Fox:Oh, wait a bit my friend. I will just dress up!
Rooster:I tell you, Fox, I can't wait! Look at my scythe. It is so sharp! The more time you stay in hare`s house, the less time you have to live. Get out of the house or I will cut you! I will eat you! I am going to eat you. I am really very hungry.
Storyteller 1:The fox jumped out of the window and hurriedly left the hare’s house. She really got very frightened. Finally the Fox went away!
The hare simply stood and stared. He couldn’t believe his eyes. The rooster was a true friend.
The Hare got so happy! He thanked the Rooster and they lived happily as true friends did!
Storyteller 3:Dear friend! It is bad to be cowardly as a dog or boastful as a bear. You should be kind smart and helpful.
Storyteller 2: Be more careful in choosing your friends!
Storyteller 1:We wish you all the best, a lot of happiness and success in what ever you do. Thank you!
Storyteller 3:We wish you good luck in everything and true friends for all your life.
