«Путешествие по Лондону»

Обобщающий урок в игровой форме

7 класс

В методическую копилку учителя английского языка

Цели занятия:

-активизировать лексику по теме «Страноведение. Великобритания. Лондон»

- развивать и совершенствовать навыки аудирования

- организовать контроль языковых и речевых навыков по пройденным лексическим и

грамматическим темам

-способствовать расширению общего и страноведческого кругозора учащихся

-углубить знания учащихся о столице Соединенного Королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии

-развивать мышление, слуховой контроль, зрительную память и воображение на уроке иностранного языка

-воспитывать культуру речи

-способствовать развитию социокультурной компетенции учащихся.

Основные задачи занятия:

- вести диалог и полилог по теме, соблюдая речевой этикет

- задавать вопросы о незнакомых или неизвестных предметах (объектах), людях и использовать заданные структуры и грамматическое время

- заполнять подстановочные таблицы и кроссворды на слух

- уметь высказываться по заданной теме (монологические и диалогические высказывания)

Ожидаемые результаты:

- демонстрация инициативного и творческого освоения учебного материала в процессе познавательной деятельности учащихся

- формулирование собственного мнения и позиции

- умение приводить аргументы в диалогах и полилогах

- построение логических рассуждений, включающих установление причинно-следственных связей.

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ.

1. Организационный момент. Сообщение целей и задач мероприятия.

А.А: Goodmorning, dearguests andfriends!

О.В:We are glad to see you in our school! You are welcome!

А.А: Today we are going to make an enjoyable trip to a wonderful country situated on an island. We’ll speak about its beautiful capital.

О.В:Imagine that we are in London now. We are a group of tourists from Russia.

А.А: But some of us have already visited Great Britain. These children will help us to know more about London. So, we hope you are ready to start our trip!

О.В:Let’s read the lines from the poem of the famous writer and poet R.Kipling about this country.

(Сначала читает учитель, затем ученики читают хором для фонетической разминки)

Our country is a garden

And such gardens are not made

By singing” Oh, how beautiful “

And sitting in the shade.

А.А:Can you guess the name of the country? You are right, this country is Great Britain. And the capital of the country is………? Yes, that’s right! Thank you.

О.В:We hope you remember our song about the parts of Great Britain. Do you feel like singing it?

А.А:Look at your papers with the text . We are going to sing!

Last year we went to Ireland,

It’s called The Emerald Isle.

The welcome there was wonderful,

It really made us smile.

The year before we went to Wales,

A land of hills and song.

Because it’s fun to laugh and sing,

It’s just where we belong.

In Scotland we all wore our kilts

And bagpipes played all day.

Perhaps it was my favourite place,

It’s where I want to stay.

So if I catch a plane next week,

I’d like you to come too.

Seeing Britain’s only fun

When I’m there with you

О.В:We will start our excursion from the very centre of London. Our first guide will tell us about Trafalgar Square. Lena, you are welcome!

Lena:

Trafalgar Square is a geographical center of London. It’s the largest among London’s squares. On the column in the centre there is a statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The main building of Trafalgar Square is the National Gallery. It has a fine collection of European paintings.

А.А.:Thank you, Lena! I’ve heard the other guides can tell us something interesting about this fascinating capital of Great Britain. Maxim and Nikita, you are welcome!

Dialogue:

Nikita:Hello. I’m your guide. I’ll show you around London today. Where would you like to go first?

Maxim:Hello. We would like to visit the Tower.

Nikita:Okay. It’s not far from here.

Maxim:How can we get there?

Nikita:We can get there by bus or just walk.

Maxim:What would you advise?

Nikita:You will enjoy our walk.

Maxim:OK. Let’s go.

О.В.:Thank you, friends! This beautiful city is making a great impression on us. We can hear a talk between the tourists. They are sharing their opinions with each other about London. Let’s listen. German and Lisa, you are welcome!

Dialogue:

German: Are you going to London for the first time?

Lisa: Yes, I have always dreamt to visit this city.

German: I believe there are many attractive places.

Lisa: Certainly. I’ll see everything I’ve read and heard about London.

А.А.:Thank you, German and Lisa!

You know, a double-decker bus is one of the most attractive sights for tourists and we just can’t pass by. Anna and Denis, you are welcome!

Dialogue:

Anna: In London there are so many unusual things.

Denis: What do you mean?

Anna: I mean double-decker buses.

Denis: Oh. We’ll make a double-decker bus tour about London and see many sights from its top.

O.B.:Thank you, Anna and Denis!
