TRUE WAYS TO TEACH YOURSELF KOREAN

The article is devoted to methods of teaching the Korean language to students of non-language courses. In this article, we have tried to find the best resources for you to learn the Korean language. 3 main reasons for learning Korean language:

The Korean government offers a variety of grants and various financial assistance for those wishing to study in their country. And being in the country, in turn, will speed up your learning process;

Language is not so complicated. You do not need to learn hieroglyphs, just one alphabet. Grammar obeys a simple and logical structure; knowledge of several suffixes will allow you to easily formulate a sentence in any case, and words in any form;

Opportunity to visit the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang as a volunteer.

Resources: http://en.livemocha.com/ (learning new words and practice. It is supposed to write test tasks that check native speakers. You can also, by fumbling around the site, find yourself partners in language exchange.)

http://www.youtube.com/user/ruthnp75/videos (a video course of Korean (the language of instruction is English, but nothing complicated) .This channel contains several courses Let's speak Korean, made by Korean TV, I personally like the older one at the moment, it's more "on business", in English there only explain the material, but do not flutter.The first lesson is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A93eF6Jwpow I highly recommend this course, although explained in English, Korean words and phrases are repeated without end, so as to get into the subcortex, and write, too, so that the spelling is entered along with the pronunciation.)

http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/ (resource paid and English-speaking.If you register, then for a small fee you can get lessons for different levels of language proficiency and controlling teachers.You can climb on the site and so, finding a lot of interesting and useful.) + Dictionaries: http://w2mem.com/lang/ko (you can create your own dictionary to learn)

In every case there are basic principles, the observance of which leads to success. Learning Korean is not an easy task, and you need to prepare for it right away. However, for this lesson, there are components of success. Here are some of them.

1. Interest in Korea. If you started learning Korean, then it attracted you. Perhaps it is required for you to work, perhaps for study, or maybe you just love to-pop and want to understand what is being sung in songs? In any case, familiarize yourself with the history, culture, life of this country will not be superfluous. If you find something interesting for yourself in Korean culture, then the process of learning the language will become much more fascinating, will not only gain a goal, but a soul.

2. Interest in the Korean language. Many begin to learn the language, fascinated by Korean pop music or serials. It's great that there is a great interest in one (or several) aspects of Korean culture, however, in order to focus on hard work and achieve results in this process, this is often not enough. To feel the beauty of Hangeul and the charm of the texts written on it, to strive to understand the logic of this mysterious language and to comprehend all its secrets, to understand all that seems complicated. If there is such a passion, then you will not stop on the way to achieving the goal!

3. Systematization of knowledge. Create a clear understanding of the structure of Korean grammar, an idea of the lexical composition of the Korean language, understand the logic of constructing a sentence: why it is said that way, and not otherwise. In other words, to create the "backbone" of Korean grammar, for which the vocabulary will later be written. After that, it will only be necessary to expand the lexical stock and practice in free expression of thoughts in the Korean language.

It is not easy to systematize Korean grammar for oneself in the current conditions. Despite the fact that in the network and on the shelves of bookstores there appeared a great variety of textbooks and manuals on the Korean language, they are all oriented to learning the Korean language translationally-fragmentary, i.e. Korean grammar is represented in the form of a cluster of expressions, "constructions", etc., but not in the form of a logical scheme of what follows. In addition, Korean grammar is explained from the standpoint of Russian grammar. That is, with the help of terms and concepts characteristic of Russian grammar, they try to explain the phenomena of Korean grammar that have no analogues in the Russian language, which creates confusion and contributes to incorrect perception of many Korean language phenomena by students.

Currently, the team of authors of our forthcoming training manual is actively working on the systematization of Korean grammar and its accessible explanation for Russian-speaking students. Something has already been done, much remains to be done in this direction, but the general grammar course has already been created and is being used in our classes.

4. Regular practice. Select for yourself a few hours a week (preferably on different days), when you will necessarily sit down and learn about the Korean language something new. Read the text with the new vocabulary, which you then compose the sentences (you should first write the sentence and then write it down), read to perfection any text or dialogue with the copying of the intonations and pronunciation of the announcer, this text or the dialogue of the speaker (voiced texts and dialogues can be found in textbooks and on training sites). Or maybe watch a video in Korean, for example an episode from your favorite show or series, and then retell its contents in front of the mirror. Or you can solve the test problems from the TOPIK exam, and then you will understand your mistakes, get acquainted with the new vocabulary. It is important that the practice be diverse, lively, and at the same time necessarily regular.Make Korean a part of your life. When you have time and mood, try to think in Korean. Make friends-Koreans, with whom you will communicate by correspondence and Skype by voice. Translate your favorite songs and sing them along with your favorite artists. If you have someone who teaches Korean together with you, enter Korean words and phrases that each of you is already able to understand and pronounce, into a constant use in communication.

5. Love what you do. This principle is the most important in any business, and studying the Korean language is no exception. Even if something does not work right away, do not give up. Try. Look forward with optimism. And everything will come out for sure!
