Alice (to yourself): It’s better to speak about something else.

(to H-D): Are you not afraid to fall down?

H D No, I am not afraid. The King will send…..

Alice: All his horses and all his men.

H D How do you know about the King’s horses and the King’s

men? I am sure you like to listen at doors and behind trees.

I am sure you heard the King’s words!

Alice: I didn’t listen at doors and I didn’t listen behind trees. It’s in

a book. I read it.

H D (smiling) I think you read about me in the History of England. Now

take a good look at me. And don’t forget that I spoke to a

King once.

Alice (to yourself): When he grins I am afraid that the ends of his mouth will

meet behind his head. And then I don’t know what will

happen to his head. I am afraid it will come off.

H D Now tell me how old are you?

Alice I am seven years and six month years old.

H D Seven years and six month! Now, if you want to know what

I Think – don’t grow older! It’s nice to be seven years old

Alice You have a very beautiful belt or is it a tie?

H D It’s a tie, child, and a very beautiful tie. It’s a present from

If you could hear me now
If I could only know truth
I open my heart, whisper my dreams,
Share my secrets with you.
If you could see me now
Waiting for someone who’s kind.
Someone who’s brave,
who’s never afraid
Someone who’s strong like a knight.
Save this dance for me,
Hope it won’t stop ever.
Music so tender will be
And we’ll be dreaming forever.

(Lights off)

Go away or you will die!
